We want to avoid character dinners/breakfast and I cant think of any resturaunts in the disney area that stick out...

We were thinking somthing like california grill or dinner somewhere at the poly so that we can watch Wishes one night

..we are also staying at the boardwalk and i have no clue whats around that area either!!:confused3

help!

My favorite restaurant at Disney right now is Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Villas-Kidani. It has great views of the Savannah and the food is delicious.

My Wife and I have enjoyed the following as a young couple. At AKL Both Boma and Jiko. At Boardwalk Flying Fish and ESPN CLUB-though that was to watch a game and have some lite fare and drinks. Grand Floridian Cafe is a nice place for couples. At Wilderness Lodge Artist point although a little expensive is more couple friendly. At Downtown Disney Area, Fulton's, Portabello Yacht Club, and Bongo's are a nice change of pace food wise for a Couples.Obviously the more expensive the place the more Couple friendly it is.

Ohana
Narcoossee's $$$$
Whispering Canyon Cafe (you can walk onto the beach at Bay Lake see the fireworks from there...but you cannot hear the music or anything)

All depends on how much you are willing to spend.

In the Boardwalk area there is Cape May seafood buffet at the Beach Club and the Yacht Club has Yachtsman Steak House and Capts Grille. At the Boardwalk there is Kouzzina if you like Greek food as well as ESPN and Flying Fish. My DD is 19 and her favorite restaurant is Teppan Edo at Epcot.

Even though it's not a restaurant...if you enjoy music make sure you go to JellyRolls one night! It is a really fun dueling pianos-piano bar :thumbsup2

We totally love California Grill. We eat there at least once every trip, and we're having our first anniversary dinner there in a few weeks! The food can't be beat, the views are amazing, and the service is top notch. Good luck with your decision!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Thanks for the suggestion....It sounds like you have been there before...Have you been to that Dance hall? Is that a club?

we did the california grill the first night of our honeymoon - the nice people on the phone at disney dining helped me get a reservation at just the right time to view the fireworks. it was an incredible experience - we loved the restaurant and our food was divine (if expensive). totally worth it - it was a very romantic, special meal. it was also nice to get all dressed up in the evening after schlepping around in a poncho and wet sneakers all day at the theme park.

other places we really liked on our honeymoon were coral reef in epcot, portobello yacht club in downtown disney, and yak & yeti in animal kingdom. wolfgang puck i like a lot, too.

We spent our honeymoon at WDW last year, and one of our favorites was Yachtsman Steakhouse on the Boardwalk. It has an intimate atmosphere, but not stuffy....afterwards it's nice to stroll on the Boardwalk, and maybe catch the fireworks at EPCOT from the bridge....and of course Jellyrolls.

We like: Boma, California Grill, Kona Cafe, le Cellier

I heard Flying Fish Cafe on the Boardwalk is supposed to be good.

Sorry we haven't tried the Dance Hall so I can't offer any opinions on that. We visited Jelly Rolls last Sept and it was packed. Adults of all ages and everyone was having a great time!

One night on our most recent trip, my girlfriend (23) and I (25) had a good dinner at Flying Fish and then drank and sang the night away over at Jellyrolls. As long as you get to Jellyrolls by 9-9:30 you should not have too much of an issue getting a table. Try to avoid Tuesday nights, I believe that is CM night.

We also really enjoyed Jiko (AKL), Les Chefs (France), Biergarten (Germany), Hoop-Dee-Doo and 'Ohana (they stream the Wishes music and dim the lights durring the show which is visible from the restaurant).

We really enjoyed Jiko on our last (adults only) trip. Someday, we'd LOVE to go Cali Grill!

Have fun!

If you like sushi Tokyo Dining has a really nice atmosphere. I would avoid Yak and Yeti, it tends to have a lot of kids and is very noisy...which could ruin any romantic moment.
