Ok time for a few weird random questions:

We are doing DDP with a table service each day. Do these restaurants have bathrooms in them? Traveling with a toddler and want to plan accordingly...(see below for more info on restroom issues)

Also making seating or special event requests for the restaurants. I know they are just requests but is it possible to make them online?? Or just at hostess stand?

For special event we have San Angel Inn booked and plan to do just desserts for my in laws 30th anniversary. Could I make a note on that online? or call Disney directly?

And as far as seating options are there any great spots at the following and what do I need to request:

Garden Grill breakfast (I think we will get a booth as a party of 5 but def want the booth)
Liberty Tree Tavern lunch (I would love a window table)
Akershus lunch
Boma breakfast
Crystal Palace dinner
Trattoria Al Forno breakfast

Lastly about restrooms...do all of the regular restrooms have a family bathroom close by? DD who is 2 1/2 is terrified of public bathrooms (recent phobia maybe she will be back ok by the time we go). All the other toilets flushing really upsets her. But anyways if the family bathrooms are close by we will just dash in there.

Thanks for all the help Dis Fam.

There are no family bathrooms, but companion bathrooms, that aren't on the regular map (they are marked on the maps for those with disabilities). There is a baby center in each park, but I wouldn't count on being able to reach it quickly.

Have you tried headphones to block out the restroom noise? I'm asking because the companion restrooms are very very limited, and may not be handy when your little one needs to go. It will be much easier for all of you if she could be made to be comfortable in the general restrooms.

Most, if not all, restaurants have their own restrooms. You can always ask at the hostess stand where the closest one is so that you are prepared. You can make any seating requests when you check in for your meal, but keep in mind they are only requests. Btw, the windows at the Liberty Tree Tavern are meant to replicate old glass, so the view is a little hazy.

thank you both for the replies.

I'm brining ear plugs for the fireworks. she seems to have sensitive hearing, but it has not been fully diagnosed yet. I might try the ear plugs at home with her to get her use to going in a public bathroom. now if we go in and she sees it more than 1 toilet she gets upset and wont' go at all. :( I will also pick up a map for disabilities so we know where the companion bathrooms are.

and good to know about the restaurants I've only ate at 2-3 and never really paid any attention to such as that.

Just so you are aware, the companion restroom toilets are a bit higher off of the ground then typical. That is meant to make it a bit easier for disabled people to use them.

the companion restrooms can take longer to get in if your child is in a hurry. as it is only one stall the person in ahead of you could take longer than normal if it is someone who needs extra time in the bathroom as you stand waiting. if i remember correctly they also have self flush toilets. most of table serve have more than one stall and if I remember correctly you have to leave Garden Grill to get to bathroom.

The companion restrooms are few and far between so they most likely will not be convenient for you. They are meant for the disabled who may need some help or more room due to a wheelchair. Many regular restrooms will not accommodate them.

I know Liberty Tree Tavern's restrooms used to be a bit of a pain to get to. I haven't been since the remodel.
And as mentioned Garden Grill's is just outside, but very close by.

I agree with want to go now, this really isn't what the companion restrooms are meant for. Basically, expect what you would in your normal chain restaurant in your hometown. But I would use the baby care centers if you needed too.

The signs on WDW companion restrooms are actually labelled "Family" restrooms. My son is on the autism spectrum and has sensory issues so we always try to use them if we stumble into them.

I believe this is incorrect. Disney has no family bathrooms.

I agree. Everyone we saw was labeled companion restroom with a wheelchair and man and woman figures.

Correct, Disney does not have Family Restrooms - they do offer the Baby/Child Center.

The Companion Restrooms sign shows - Wheelchair user and Companions of opposite sex. The situation is a male/female where one needs to assist and therefore can not enter traditional bathrooms. We use it when it's just myself and adult DS, since he can not enter the ladies room with me. These are the ONLY restrooms we can use, and there are not many.

My memory must be fuzzy then. My son called them "family bathroom," after the first time we used one. It must be because of the figures on the sign. He always asks, "Can we go to the family bathroom?"

I appreciate there is the option, and my husband does as well when I'm not available to take our daughter into the ladies room. It's too bad there are not more of these throughout the parks for those who need them for whatever reason.

I think it is because they are not set up as many family restrooms are--the toilet seats are higher up off of the ground than average toilets, and there is only one toilet, not multiple as some family restrooms have. They are truly meant for someone who needs help, a companion, to use the toilet. Unfortunately some use them as changing rooms, or even time out rooms.
