restaurants with hibachi grill - like it or hate it?

My friend made a party today to celebrate her son's confirmation and his graduation from 8th grade.

the party was held at a restaurant that does hibachi-style cooking. no, not Benihana, but along the same lines.

I had a good time -- it's been awhile since I've been to a place like that, and the chef was very amusing (interstingly, none of the chefs in this place was Asian -- ours was an immigrant from Africa, and the other chefs in the place were all locals.)

and I realized, you either love this kind of place, or you hate it.

so, let's hear your opinions.

Love it! My DD and I always go out to lunch at a local hibachi place on our last day of summer vacation. Kind of a last hurrah.

I just took DD to Benihana for the first time Friday. I love it!

Love 'em! The place in Japan at Epcot is a favorite place to go. We usually hit it several times per trip.

Other than that though, there aren't any around here.....sad to say.

Don't care much for it myself but I always take my in-laws to the one at Epcot because they enjoy it.

LOVE it!!!
Mostlyfor the food-I love the shrimp and the noodles.
Plus with little kids like I have, it is wondeful for holding their attention throughout a meal.

Love these places! Although I can never convince my DH to go (I think he's afraid the chefs are going to pick on him...this is also why we haven't been back to Primetime at MGM).

Any place with noodles is OK by me- LOVE noodles.

I love them, but I do prefer to just watch and not have to interact with them. I'm very shy and don't like that sort of thing. But it is amazing watching them.

If they don't have shrimp sauce I don't want to eat there.

Never been! We don't have any of those restaurants around. That I know of at least. One of these days.
