Well, this varies for us with every trip. There are some restaurants I went on last trip that I would never attempt this trip with a toddler. We've never had a TERRIBLE experience at any Disney restaurant, but some of the nicer restaurants have like 5 things on the menu, none of which my DS9 will eat. (And he'll be an "adult" when we go this year.)
The restaurant that my family probably will never go back to is Boma. The only thing we liked were the chicken fingers and the desserts and we can get that any any WDW buffet! And restaurants like Marrakesh- I know better than to even try once with this picky crowd! I don't consider myself picky, and NOTHING appeals to me on that menu.
We did have a really nasty lunch at Crystal Palace years ago, but gave it another shot for dinner and it was good. I think that the answer to this question is going to be different for everyone.
