What are the restaurants your family will not miss when visiting Disney? (Please include low price options too) Thanks!
:cool1:

Artist Point is at the top of our list. Excellent food, excellent service, and a menus with something for everyone.

For us.....50's Prime Time, Kona Cafe (at the Poly), and Cape May Clam Bake were on the top before our trip in June. They remain on our MUST list, and now we also added Nine Dragons in Epcot.

Flame Tree BBQ and Rainforest Cafe in AK
Sci-Fi in MGM (more for atmosphere than food)
Yorkshire Fish & Chips, Biergarten and LeCellier in EPCOT
Columbia Harbour House in MK

We loved Cosmic Ray's in MK and we have to eat in Morocco, doesn't matter if it's Marrakesh or Tangerine Cafe, preferablly both!

We always include:

Le Cellier (Epcot)
Seasons (CS Epcot)
Boma (AKL)
Jiko (AKL)
Wolfgang Puck Cafe (Westside)
And we always have to have AT LEAST 1 or 2 Dole Whips!!!

Definitely Le Cellier and we loved Tony's on Main St. Schedule Tony's about an hour before a parade and sit on the porch - we loved that! Chef Mickey's was a great character meal and a good dinner. Tusker House in AK was the best counter service. We also enjoyed the counter service at China.

New favorites:
We tried several this last trip and have some definate new favorites!
Tusker House in Ak
Chef Mickey's for breakfast (better than dinner!)
Boatwright's at POR - this was the best meal of the whole trip!!
Quiches in the bakery in France at EPCOT! YUM!

We love the California Grill in the contemporary--a little pricey, but got to see the fireworks from their balcony--really cool. We also loved Chef Mickey's for breakfast. DD got to see all the characters without having to wait in a line at the parks. DH also really likes to eat at Pecos Bills (counter service) in MK. I'm not exactly sure why, but we have to stop there everytime we visit.

Our "must do" restaurants include:
Chef Mickeys Dinner
Liberty Tree Tavern (we did this before the MVMCP) and my DH LOVED it-- great character interaction!
Flame Tree BBQ is my fav CS restaurant.

We are looking for new ones too- thanks for the thread!

Have a great trip!

Our not to miss

Crystal Palace MK-I love this place. Food is great and you get to meet the hundred acre characters.

1900 Park Fare- Yummy and characters

Sci-fi drive in- fun place/plenty of food.
:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

We like Le Cellier.

As a lower priced alternative, I like the burgers at Beaches and Cream, and I also like Olivia's at Old Key West. Try the key lime pie!

For TS

Brown Derby - Everything about this meal was excellant, the food is my favorite in Disney.
Le Cellier - Best place for steak, also loved the cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread.
Ohana - Great meal, went after the menu changed, loved the potatoes, chicken wings, and bread pudding the most, could of made a meal on those items alone.
Boma - Wonderful buffet, great and interesting selection, I love the soups and desserts the best.
Mama Melrose's - Underrated, has great flatbread. Good for lunch, and great deal for Fantasmic package

For CS

Fountainview Cafe Great for breakfast and / or pastries.
Earl of Sandwhich Great deal, $5 for very filling, delicious, high-quality sandwhiches.
Yakitori House Best CS in World Showcase. Very tasty food.
Tusker House Best meal in AK.
Columbia Harbor House Used to be my favorite, still good, but I'm upset that they got rid of the bread bowls. :sad2:
Ghiradelli's Best ice cream I've had in the world.

'Ohana = has the most Disney magic and great food
Brown Derby = first class meal

Le Cellier-- its WONDERFUL! We were thinking of doing it more than once on our upcoming trip!
Flame Tree BBQ-- Great CS. Excellent value for the yummy food and plent of it!
Hoop-De-Doo-- Not a true "restaurant" but a lot of fun.. good food.. all you can drink Sangria! Woohoo!!

Le Cellier -- wonderful meal for either lunch or dinner.

Restaurant Marrakesh (Morocco) -- it's nothing like you'd expect.

50's Prime Time Cafe -- more than a "cafe" -- mom's cooking at its best!

Flame Tree -- great dry-rub barbeque.

I have only been once (2002) and did not know anything about taking a trip to disney, so we did not make any advance reservations....that being said we ate a lot of counter service food for the week we were there and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was good, portions large and it didn't cost as much as we thought it would. The places I remember (boy, I wish I would have kept a journal when I was there....I don't remember much of the day to day stuff!!) that we liked were:

Liberty Tree Tavern - kids loved it

The Brown Derby (we were at MGM during a torrential all day rain storm and needed to get somewhere dry. We spent more than we wanted but I was so tired of being rained on that it didn't matter. We ended up having the place almost to ourselves...maybe 4 other families the entire time!) - good food, good drinks but expensive

A character breakfast....this is why I should have written things down....uh....I don't remember which one! Buffet breakfast...Chip and Dale....Goofy, maybe Minnie Mouse...very nice Disney resort....

That is all I really remember!
