Restaurants not to be missed

We always start our vacation with Dinner at Chef Mickey ~ The parmesan mashed potatoes are WONDERFUL!

We always eat at Whispering Canyon Cafe (kids love it)

And we always try to fit in 1900 Park Fare at the GF for dinner (this year we're doing breakfast and dinner).

For quick not too expensive dinners on some nights we'll head over to one of the All Stars and eat at the food court.

Good thread!

Olivia's @OKW
Earl of Sandwich - we loooove their sandwiches!!
Le Cellier
Dole Whip - not a restaurant - but a definite do-not-miss!
Rose & Crown
House of Blues - recently added - love Cajun cuisine!

Citrico's at the Grand Floridian is a favorite of our family..

Brown Derby, MGM

Teppanyaki, Japan, Epcot.

LeCellier, Canada

Shula's, great service, good food, pricey

Lunch at the ESPN Club was awesome as Ohana's was our first night in Disney. Next time around trying the Luau Show at the Poly.

Also got to go to Tusker House for the corn chowder and Cosmic Rays.

our new faves are:

LeCellier for lunch (lunch is a lower priced option than dinner but dinner would be fab too)
Kona for dinner
Chef Mickey's breakfast
Beaches and Cream

more expensive table service:
Yachtsman Steakhouse (perfection!)
Jiko (FABULOUS meal!)

counter service:
Pecos Bills in the MK (love the chicken wraps and the kids chilled chicken, grapes and crackers for the kids)
the kids like Pizzafari at the AK

Favorite TS:
Epcot - Rose & Crown (ask for Jo as your server, she is awesome)
MK - Tony's (very good Italian)
MGM - 50's Prime Time (where else can you get a sundae with crackerjack and m&m's)
DTD - Fulton's Crab House (the Ciopina should not be missed)

Favorite CS:
Epcot - Seasons @ The Land (many choices, try the Asian Noodle Bowl)

For TS:
EC-Chefs de France
for lunch
The best quiche!

Contemporary-California Grill
for dinner.
Pricey, but worth it.

Polynesian-Kona Cafe
for breakfast
Tonga Toast is the best!

MGM-Sci-Fi Dine In
Had read for years to avoid it, but tried it this year and was very pleasantly surprised.

For CS:
MK-Columbia Harbor House
if you're without kids, the second floor is not accessible to strollers. The food is a notch above burger/fries fare.

EC-Food Court at The Land
lots of choices when everyone wants something different, good food. The rehab looks great too.

AK-Flame Tree BBQ
Again, nice change from burger/fries.

and to suz72, Artist Point is located in the Wilderness Lodge. To see their menu, go to "DIShome" at the top of the boards page then click on the Restaurant Menus link.

Cookie Princess~ We are going to dinner here at 8:00 to see the fireworks. Are we all set? Also how pricey is CG?

Check the schedule for the time of Wishes during your stay to see if 8 works. You should be fine, though. Even if you are in the middle of dinner, they will let you get up and go outside to see the show. We had just finished out appetizer and dinner was on it's way when the show started. They kept it warm for us, so we could go out on the terrace. I think we spent around $100 for dinner for two, including appetizer, dinner and dessert for me. DH had a couple of beers, but we didn't order any wine b/c I was pg at the time.

MK: Plaza and Tony's (never tried Crystal Palace or LTT - gotta go!!)

WL: Whispering Canyon Cafe

OKW: Olivia's

Grand Floridian: 1900 Park Fare, GF Cafe and V&As (WOW!!)

Contemporary: California Grill

I have ADRs at all above except V&As again for trip next June - whoopee!! Will try Crystal Palace and LTT when baby gets a little older and is not quite so "petrified" by the big furry larger than life characters! :earseek:

Gotta love WDW dining! :goodvibes

we really enjoyed WCC and Brown Derby( talk about 2 ends of the dining experience spectrum)
our fav. snack place is french bakery epcot although Ghiradellli's and main st bakery ( ice cream cookie sandwich) are close seconds
we don't really have a fav counter,,, casey's is good but limited. pop centr. was much better than expected. maybe wgang puck express pizza or tusker house would be our best picks.
best bargain imo would be Trail's end, any meal ( not a big buffet fan but husband likes them and this one is the only one we think is worth the money at wdw since the "old man" hubby can't eat like he did 20+ yrs ago... even if he "thinks he can :rotfl: )
