When my family goes to Wdw, we always basically eat at the same restaurants. I was wondering what everyones favorites were, that I haven't been to, that I listed below. My family age wise is adult,adult,8,12. Any suggestions? Btw, not a big ribs and bbq type family. Seafood is always a pleasure.. And no mexican or spicy..

Haven't been to..
1. Ohana's, 2. Whispering Canyon, 3. Le' Cellier, 4. Beaches and Cream, 5. Most World Showcase places, 6. Hm.. let me think..I lost it all.. well if I think of more, there are plenty, I will post them. :goodvibes TIA. UPDATE: Jiko, Sci-Fi,50'sPrime time, Coral Reef, Cape May. I'm sure more are coming! :lmao:

Isn't WC mostly BBQ? You might wish to avoid that place. :earsboy:

My DH is a steak and potatos kind of guy. His favoirtes are O'hana, Le Cellier and Tepinyaki. We have to go to these each trip, then I get to choose a new restaurant. Our kids 5, 7 & 11 really like O'hana and Sci-Fi!

Thanks for the advice guys, and Micca, 9,000 post! Almost! :goodvibes party:

Keep the advice and helpful tips coming! :goodvibes

We have our favorites and then we try to add a new one every now and then. We are going in June and are trying H&V for the first time because they now have the playhouse disney character breakfast. In October we are trying the Concourse Steakhouse and Yachtsman Galley. If you have not done LeCellier and you like red meat I highly recommend it. If you are breakfast eaters definately 1900 Park Faire and Donald's Breakfastosaurus.

We are pretty much the same way.
We seem to stick with our favorites, and find it hard to give one of them up to try a new restaurant.

I have been curious about a couple places for the last two WDW vacations we took, and really want to give them a try.
They are : Boma,1900 Park Fare,Grand Floridian Cafe,& Spoodles.

We are not real adventurous eaters, so I'm a bit afraid to try any of the WS locations except for Teppanyaki.

Needless to say, I am having one heck of a time trying to make our ADRs this time :confused3

Well, you we always eat at our favorites each trip and then add a few new. Our tastes seem pretty close.

Not to be missed---
Artist Point
Grand Floridian Cafe
Le Cellier
Wolfgang Puck Cafe

Those we will not do again---
Brown Derby
Jiko
Raglan Road (our new "don't like" from last week)
Boma (not really anxious to eat here again)

Of those you've listed that we've eaten at that I would say are worth trying---
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Le Cellier
We've not eaten at Mexico, Morocco, or Japan, but I think the rest are all worth trying.
We did not care for the burgers at Beaches and Cream, the ice cream is good.
We don't like clams, so Cape May Cafe dinner we didn't care for, breakfast is good.

No, Whispering Canyon is NOT mostly BBQ. They have some, yes, but I had really good fish there, and my husband had meatloaf. It's one of our favorites--and I most certainly dislike BBQ altogether.

Interesting how the experiences can change from person to person, day to day. In reality, every Restaurant is worth trying. The last 2 meals our family had at Brown Derby were very worth it and enjoyable while my DW and DD went to Artist Point and declared it totally over rated. Loved Jiko the first time. Loved Jiko the second time. Loved Jiko the third time, but not my DD who felt it less special than her previous visit. I love Le Cellier, but the rest of my family thinks it's just okay. Mostly, it has to do with ordering according to your taste. Our best meal ever was the California Grill, it was pure perfection! The worst? The commissary. I think that caused us to rethink having counter service meals, yet almost any other counter service we've had in MGM was good. That was an almost. At Starring Roles (next to the Brown Derby) we had a veggie wrap that was so soggy you would have sworn is was soaked in the dressing or oil the veggies were made in. The bottom line is that you never know, so if a menu looks good to you, or if you find something for everyone, try the place out, you just might find yourself with a new "favorite place!"

I just went to LeCellier for the first time in March (2006). My husband and I both loved it. He swore it was the best steak he's ever eaten. Based on recommendations from these boards, we went there and loved it. We also ordered the Cheddar Cheese Soup and couldn't wait to try the pretzel breadsticks because so many people here at DIS said they were a must. They didn't disappoint. Super yummy.

We also tried Whispering Canyon Cafe based on recommendations from the Dis Boards. Had a great time and went two times. Our kids had such a blast at this restaurant - it's loud and boisterous, but oh so fun in the way that only Disney can do it.
