Restaurants for dessert only?

After reading all the wonderful restaurant reviews, there are so many places I want to eat. It would be impossible to eat in all the places on my list in the 6 nights we'll be there.
So, would it be allowed to make a PS for, say, San Angel, and only order dessert and drinks? Is this frowned upon? I hope not, because if it is, we'll be missing out on a lot of cool restaurants.:(

You can absolutely do this....enjoy!!

If you are doing dessert only, may I suggest Kona Cafe in the Poly. Wonderful desserts and a Pressed Pot of Kona Coffee. YUM!

My friend and I went last year (and again this year) and we did do a couple of dessert only breaks: Brown Derby, Prime Time Cafe, and a couple of places in World Showcase. We love to eat when we're at Disney, but sometimes we aren't able to handle a full meal with dessert at the end. And sometimes, the desserts are the only things that appeal to us on the menus, so we'll do a little dessert tour around the four parks. One caveat: we do make it a point to mention it to the Host/Hostess that we will only be having dessert and coffee. That way, they are better able to fit us in their work flow knowing that we'd be out of there fairly quickly. As a former seater myself, that always helped me do some juggling when it got busy as well.

Yes, I'll do this!

...but NOT for dessert!!!! Can't say I wasn't warned (from right here on the DIS.) Our party of 7 all ordered desserts at San Angel in May and we were all pretty disappointed. I second Kona for dessert only!

If you can get over to the Beach Club, you should try Beaches 'n' Cream, they have great desserts.:goodvibes

I *LIVE* for desserts and I did not see a thing I would order at San Angel.. icky poo... but their Margaritas were great ;)

>>^..^<<

Kringla in Norway is great too! I had the most heavenly piece of chocolate mousse cake there that I have ever put in my mouth. :)

We do this all the time! We love sampling all the places, so we often book a big lunch, then do dessert at Sci Fi, (MGM), or France (counter service). It's a great idea, so have fun!
Melissa
