I haven't seen much about restaurants at Saratoga Springs. Do they have a sit-down?

They don't have a sit down, but they do have a food court with things like sandwiches, pizza, pastries and desserts, wraps, pasta, ice cream bars, etc. It is kind of like a high-class food court. They don't have your usual burgers and hot dogs kind of stuff. We ate there once on our trip, and it was pretty good. The seating area is very nice there.

There is a beautiful bar with a pool table that we accidentally found when coming from the boat.

SSR's restaurants are a joke. But the good news is its a 10-15 minute walk to some of the best restaurants in WDW at DTD.

Fultons
Planet Hollywood
Woofgangs
Portabella (I think)
Rain Forest Cafe
A real McDonalds

Be patient!
Cast member explained to me back in 4/05 that there are definite plans for a sit down. Location will be the awning area on the backside of the Artist's
Palette near the docks.

Well, even with the bridge, I don't find the food fare available at DTD all that interesting either. You could do like we did, and take the boat to Olivias. We walked around DTD one whole evening looking at menus and ended up going to Olivias anyway. :bitelip:

We like the food at DTD, the problem is, the place is always mobbed. You cannot just stroll over and get a meal. We did as Diane suggests and got the boat to Olivia's on a couple of nights when we had been quoted 90 min plus waits for a table at DTD. The boat ride was fun, we had a nice meal and a couple of cocktails in a calm, unhurried atmosphere at Olivia's. Looking forward to eating there again next week.

Towards the end of our 14 nights at SSR we started making PSs for DTD restaurants but you don't always know when you will be needing to eat. We loved SSR and had a great time there but we still feel a sit down restaurant would be an asset (or a fast pass for restaurants at DTD!!)

They HAD a sit-down at SSR--or at least, where SSR is now. Seasons it was called, and they could have easily left it (more or less) intact. But all the original "thinking" was that SSR needed no sit down and a "deluxe" food court would be perfect.
Maybe not???

I was thinking of doing this....Wow best of both worlds! We love Olivia's, the boat ride is always so nice! :goodvibes

We aren't staying at Saratoga Springs, I was just curious if they had a sit down restaurant because I'm trying to figure out our dinner plans. I thought if they had a good restaurant, we might go there. No big deal. There are many, many other places to go in Disney World.
