Restaurant reviews and recipes...formerly Disney QOTD

And where might I find that?!?!?! :rotfl:

Never eaten there, btw. ;)

I believe you can buy it in a store. I have never looked ;)

Here is a recipe, but not the one from Disney.

This is a sauce with some history: Its primary ingredient, a particular hot chile, comes from the New World via the Portuguese, who brought it to their colonies of Mozambique and Angola. This fiery, fragrant sauce is equally common in Portugal and Africa these days, and goes wonderfully with grilled fish or shrimp. Try piri piri with fried foods, too. This recipe makes about 1 cup.
Ingredients:

* 2 T. red hot chile paste or 10 red hot chiles, such as Thai
* 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
* 2 T. finely chopped cilantro
* 1 T. chopped parsley
* 5 chopped garlic cloves
* 1/2 t. salt
* 1/2 cup olive or peanut oil

Preparation:

If you are using fresh red chiles -- it is important that they be red, for the proper color of piri piri -- chop them roughly. If you really want to make this authentic, find yourself the tiny "bird's eye" chiles, which are appallingly hot. Any hot chile will do, though.

Throw everything into a food processor except the oil. Buzz on high until smooth.

Once the sauce begins to get smooth, drizzle in the oil slowly while the machine is running. Once it is all incorporated, put the sauce in a glass jar and let stand at room temperature for up to a day.

For longer storage, seal in a jar and keep in the fridge up to a month.

Now you've hit one that I love! I go to CP at least once every trip. I've eaten breakfast, lunch & dinner there. Really love the breakfast. I kinda wish there weren't characters there (LOL), they interrupt the eating. My favorite thing to do is make an early morning ADR for CP, get there early & take pictures of a mostly empty MK. Great thing to do if you're there during the Christmas season. :thumbsup2

We've only eaten there twice I think. Both times lunch.
It was okay to me....typical buffet, but this has been awhile.
I believe the menu has changed since then.......I have to go with someone besides DH to do character meals.....might be something to give a try next BFF trip.

We enjoy an early breakfast at CP before the park opens (I like getting pictures without other people in the background!) Whilst we enjoy the food there I haven't tried the breakfast lasanga, it just looks way too filling for that early in the morning!!

Tusker House...we ate there before it was buffet. The chicken was really good.

Crystal Palace...the last time we ate there it was just ok. It was a night before the MNSSHP, and they were rushing everyone to get in and out. Since our kids are older, the CMs bypassed us a lot with the characters so they could get to the little ones--again, rushing everyone through. Totally understand in a way, but that was the year DS14 had to get a pic with Pooh as homework. :goodvibes So we had to chase him down a bit. I don't know if I'd do it again.

We have eaten there a few times. But it has been years ago. Everything was fine. But don't recall anything extraordinary. So guess we just have not returned because the place always looks so overly busy from the outside. Even with an ADR looks like there would a long wait. :confused3

This used to be a favorite, and one the kids asked for every year. But the last few times it was really disappointing, both food and service. This fall we skipped it.

I really wonder with all the free dining, and even just the dining plan in general, if they need to revamp the restaurants. They don't seem equipped to deal with the higher volume of people and the food and service seems to suffer in a lot of them.

We have gone a couple of times....years ago. Not one of our favorites. Love the atmosphere though.

I think the dining plan and free dining have caused a downward spiral in a lot of the restuarants :(

Just an FYI...I don't know if I posted this when we got back or not, but SAI reminds me of it: The Kim Possible scavenger hunt type game is really fun, altho I wouldn't have even looked twice at it if Jake hadn't spied some kids with the phone. If anyone's going soon, check it out--it makes you really go though each country in EPCOT and see things you wouldn't normally notice. You can start and stop easily, so it doesn't take a lot of time. I saw adults as well as kids playing.
