And here's one from my book. I have no idea when this book was published.

Clam Chowder
50's Prime Time Cafe
Yield: 4 servings

1 stick margarine or butter
2 stalks celery, diced (about 1 1/2 cups)
1 small onion, diced (about 1 cup)
1/8 teaspoon thyme
1/2 cup flour
3 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon clam juice
2 cups chopped clams, canned, with juice
salt
white pepper

Melt margarine or butter in a 4-quart sauce pot. Add celery and onion and saute 3 to 5 minutes. Add thyme and continue to saute another 1 to 2 minutes. Add flour and mix well, cooking 3 to 5 minutes to form a roux. Slowly add milk and bring mixture to a boil. Stir constantly to prevent burning. Add clam juice and chopped clams with juice with salt and pepper to taste.

I love the 50's PTC! It's one of our favorite places to eat. Save room for dessert, because the smores are incredible! :goodvibes

We haven't eaten at 50's prime time yet.

The food was just ok, we ate there several years ago and had fun, but won't rush back there in the future.
I agree with Jean! We've had fun there, inlcuding my solo trip with DISConII back in 2002, but the food is just ok, imo. In October, when they messed up our and another family's ressies (ADRs) at the same time, I vowed to NOT waste my time there anymore. H&V was a decent food replacement. :thumbsup2 Not 50's ambience/decor, but food was just fine, if not Good!

Haven't eaten there in a long time. I think I went right before they did the big change over on their menu. And I think they have changed it back since. We still have not returned.
I never minded it, one way or another. But the best DH has ever said was it's okay.
And I think the last time we were there the floor was not even revolving. And that is one of the draws for me.
The floor is probably back to revolving. But really nothing to entice me to return there. If I am eating in Epcot, or even the area, there are other places I rather return to.

We have eaten there once.
The floor revolved.
The food was good. ....DH likes the catfish.
Great character interaction.
(now however, the menu has too many things I won't (or can't) eat, so I doubt we will go back).

We ate there in 1999 (me, sister-in-law, 8 yr old twin boys, 5 yr old girl) for breakfast & really liked it. It was the big skillet kind of breakfast, and there was a nice selection of food there. I don't think they do that anymore. We had a great time with the characters. Chip and Dale were there & my nephews asked our server if it was possible if they could visit us together so we could take pictures of all the twins together. She said they usually like to split up so they can visit more people, but she'd see if they could do it anyway--and they did! So that was a nice memory, maybe it made the food taste better too. We had fun with the revolving floor too.

We've eaten there a few times.......it's been awhile though....nothing good or bad stands out in my mind.
