Restaurant reviews and recipes...formerly Disney QOTD

We've seen the KIm Possible mission people walking around the last 3-4 trips.
Looks fun. DH would never do it. I need DD or BFF for that.....maybe when we go on our next trip.

San Angel Inn

This is another one of my favorite places. I just love the atmosphere....you feel like you've been transported to a completely different place! I also really enjoy Mexican food, so the menu is appealing to me. The service was a little slow the last time we went, but I still enjoyed eating there.

Last April DD and her friend(we went with our DVC friends) did the Kim Possible Scavenger Hunt and they're 15!! They had such a blast that they said they might do it again when we go in April!!! We liked the San Angel Inn. we are Mexican food fans so this is a fave of ours. Heard they are expanding the take out place in Mexico to accommodate more people.

Like San Angel Inn. Never have had bad food or service. The only downside is being so dark in there. A few times I have wondered what the heck I was eating as I couldn't see much.

We have done a Kim Possible a few times. One thing is funny (haha and odd both).
Once we were doing KP and were told it stopped at a certain time. (Maybe 8pm. Really don't recall anymore.)
We were in China and could not find one location for nothing. We finally figured it out, but the spot to us did not look like the photo. And we know that area well. (Guess it was just a bad photo with off colors. :confused3 )
So we were in China longer than we planned as we thought we could easily finish China by the time it stopped. Well, when KP stops, it stops. Dead. The power is switched off. :confused3 Just like someone flipped a switch. It seems like it works as the phone was still on. But no matter what you do, it does not register anymore and gave a "Wrong" selection type sound, if I recall correct. Actually when it stopped we did not realize how late it was and wondered why it was not working properly.
Then we went to Norway to return the KP phone. The kiosk is sealed off and no one in sight.
Since we did not get to the end of the mission, we did not know where to drop off the phone. (We did know the locations in others areas. But we were nowhere near them.)
We ended up dropping off the KP phone at Guest Services on the way out.
But we both thought it odd and wondered how many just leave with the phones when they do not know where to return them, and what happens when guest do take them. :confused3 I forget what they scanned when we got the phone. Dr lic maybe?

They really did a good job of KP. It's something everyone should try at least once. :thumbsup2

Both DH and I like the experience of eating in the Mexico pavillion more than the food. It's lovely, and maybe we should give it another try.

Bobbi:goodvibes

I think we've only eaten there one time. I remember it being just ok pizza--but at the time, DSs were about 2, 5 and 6 and that was about all they were interested in eating besides chicken nuggets! I don't think I'd go back now.

We went once or twice when the kids were younger......for them pizza and games can't be beat.
I went with Jean last year and had a salad. Terrible!!
Unless kids are along, I would never go back!!

We went there along time ago because the kids wanted to try it. The arcade was a big draw especially for the boys! Pizza was all of their favorite food back then (still is). We were so happy they ALL agreed on what to eat that we gladly took them! I think we just got the pizza. They ate it without complaint(think because thy were very hungry) but my DH and I didn't think it was very good. :sad2: We were very grateful they never asked to go back again!!:thumbsup2

Pizza Planet

I've never eaten there. but I almost never eat pizza anyplace else but home. I live on Long Island, we have great pizza everywhere! In a 2 mile radius from my home, there are at least 5 pizza restaurants--4 are awesome & 1 is really really good.

Sounds good, looks good, but that is a big price tag. I need a review too.
Says not published before recipes, but can we find a lot of them on the net?? Probably (but pictures are always good).
I have 3 Disney cookbooks.....bought another, got it home and found out even though the name was different, it was EXACTLY the same as one of the others :rolleyess:

If any one gets it, be sure to post a review for us ::yes::

yeah, that's what's stopping me--$40! and I've had similar things happen to me--book is just a repackaging of what was already published.

they claim to not be published before.
I will take a look at it in April at DLR ::yes::
