Restaurant reviews and recipes...formerly Disney QOTD

I ate there in 1993, breakfast & dinner. That was pre-DDP, so you could walk into a park, go to a central location (in MK, that was City Hall) and make your plans. In fact, we ate breakfast there & liked it so much we made the dinner plans then--and that was for 5 of us. Ah, the good old days!

Breakfast was nice--I remember having a waffle with Lady & the Tramp pressed into it. That's also the time I started to realize my SIL was pregnant or trying to get pregnant, since she ordered decaf coffee & made sure her coffee was decaf before drinking it! (and in fact, she was a tiny bit pregnant with my niece.) Dinner was OK, I think I had some veggie lasanga that was good.

I haven't eaten there since.

Awww.....I remember those days too. It was so easy to go where you wanted to dine.

We have never eaten at Tony's. Always heard bad reviews, so haven't tried it.

I would like to go in the lobby though and see the art work.

Ate there once, breakfast in 2000 and it was a great breakfast. Then they stoped serving breakfast so we never went back.

Hi All,

Just ate there in December.........I can say 100% that I still think it's terrible.

The food is very salty to make up for no taste & the sauce is flat. The menu is very limited.

Back in December the salad had been made a long time before served. Service was terrible & the restaurant was just plain dirty.

Why did we eat here? Last minute trip & as always reservations were very tough to get.

Good to know, Maria....guess it still isn't on our list of places to try.
sorry you had to dine there.
But was the art great?? ;) Ducky Williams did most of it. He is such a talent and a nice guy (met him on a cruise)

Yes, please go see the artwork!!!!!
I have to be honest that I didn't even look this time but we did spend time looking at Ducky's work in 2008...worth the detour:goodvibes

Yes.....hope to see him again on the cruise in Sept.
We got a litho of his work for the Panama cruise...signed :hyper:

I remember eating there before DS9 was born...so it's been a while! I remember the food being ok, but nothing special.

I've never eaten there, and after reading everyone's reviews, I don't think I will be in the future. The Italian food on their menu sounds appetizing though. :)

I've never had a desire to eat there, pre-DDP or with DDP. I just can't imagine a heavy pasta dish and then touring the park(s) after, or Anything after. DB liked it, but I think he only went once.

RECIPE day.....we'll see how these go. If not much input we will add them to the restaurant reviews on the same day.

So Today, 1-4.......recipes from Tony's (maybe they are better made at home :rotfl: )

Well, I guess the recipe thing isn't going to work, sooooo we will just do the restaurant review and if anyone has any recipes from that restaurant they want to share, please post on the same day.
Hope we can keep this going until summer.....and then we can move on to the DIS exchange meet thread :yay: :hyper:

Somewhere in my house, I have an out of print Disney recipe book. If I find it, I'll post recipes, but so far, no luck.....

I love that picture, Nancy! I haven't downloaded all of mine, hopefully tonight.

Not as cute as your picture, but here are a few of the nephews & nieces on Christmas day. They are modeling their brand new James Madison University hoodies. Their oldest cousin Sean is a freshman there. He's the red head w/o the beard, that is Joe, his identical twin. The rest of them, from left to right:
Samantha, Dana, Maggie, Matt, Jake, Mary
