Restaurant reviews and recipes...formerly Disney QOTD

When I went on the Alaska cruise in 2001, we had a 12 hr flight from NJ to Alaska. Somehow, I managed to fall asleep. I don't know how I would have survived otherwise.

What is your park touring style.......are you a commando or a stroller?

When planning Commando, when touring very laid back, and taking things as they come.

Stroller mostly. But I'm not a thrill ride junkie, so most of the rides I like don't get crazy. (except for new rides, like Toy Story Mania).

We commando in the morning to get to the ones that have the long lines ....and Fantasyland....and then stroll the rest of the day...which would be about 10:30 on.

I'm a comando planner and comando in the morning until we get the main rides done. Then in then in the afternoon we tend to stroll more.

We're not commando anymore, I think because there aren't long lines in October while we're there. We did get fastpasses, but most times they weren't even necessary..just let us jump right back on. The only commando we did this year was for Toy Story Mania fastpasses. I got those when we got into the park, and we did use them, but caught it at a low waiting time, too.

I have to say when I first joined the DIS and saw threads about going commando I had a whole other meaning in mind, and couldn't figure out what it had to do with the parks! :goodvibes

That term still gives me a giggle!

:rotfl:

Get thinking.....we will need more questions soon.
It is hard to think of some new ones. ::yes::

When I am gone over Christmas, I will do the non-Disney ones again, so that will keep us going a bit longer.

I can share some Disney recipes ;)

We are strollers, have been since the very first trip.

Of course we are not ride people, we do rides like star tours and Ellen's energy adventure, and we have never ridden toy story mania. :duck:

I love the idea of posting Disney recipes!

How about reviews of restaurants, resorts, rides? Not just our favorites (I know we did all of those), but all the restaurants, etc. we've been to.

sounds good.....after these last questions are done, we can go through rides, restaurants, and other attractions.....maybe with a recipe thrown in here and there.

When I'm at the park with my DH I can't keep up, he wants to do everything by mid morning (it seems like it anyway). Now that I own DVC pts I'm more laid back and enjoy the parks without getting stressed out over trying to do everything in one day.

Nancy, I'll try to think of some questions, I'm not the created type so hopefully I can come up with some fun ones.

We, too, start commando get what we really want done and then stroll. :)
