Restaurant reviews and recipes...formerly Disney QOTD

We don't observe Halloween so don't decorate for it. It really isn't that big in the UK.

I did a lot this year. We have 5 carved light pumpkins in the front window ....Yellow & orange spotlights on the house that illuminate scarecrows, a wagon filled with gourds & mums & hanging ghost. In a small bush I have a string of pumpkin lights.
On the porch I have a black witches basket full of gourds & a sculptor of a witch. The can is sitting on an antique milkcan.....

I should take a photo~

While we're on our "decorating for Halloween" question, I just got an email featuring this arrangement of flowers from FTD:

I thought it was really pretty.

That is a very nice arrangement.

Do you like zoos? Do you go to local ones?
What is your favorite animal to watch?

My ds and I just went to the Pittsburgh Zoo. He got to trick or treat and go in a haunted house. It was such a nice day.

We must've watched the polar bears for half an hour. They are just amazing!

I like going to wild animal parks. My favourite is Whipsnade wild animal park (it is part of London zooalogical society). My favourite animals are tigers.

I love well done zoos.
We are going to a fairly new Wildlife zoo and aquarium in Phoenix today.
You can feed the giraffes and pet the sting rays (one of my very favorite things to do).
Our zoo is Seattle is great! It has come so far since I first moved there in 1977.

I love watching the monkeys and the cats.

Yes we like zoos. We have kept a membership at our local zoo since DS was about a year and a half old. He has always had a fascination for animals and wants to be a zoo keeper when he grows up. While our local zoo isn't very big it's still fun to go spend a few hours there whenever we want and they have lots of events for members plus our membership gets us into most all AZA zoos free.....we've been to Knoxville, Nashville & Birmingham free and Atlanta was 1/2 off.....so not a bad $40 a year investment.

I love the snow leopards and red pandas at our zoo but I guess my favorite is still Hank. He's a chimp that has been at the zoo for a long time. When DS was small he would tell everyone that Hank was his best friend and when we'd visit he'd stand and talk to Hank for the longest. Hank has a newer enclosure now and when we go he will usually come over to the glass and put his hand up like he's giving a high five and then blow kissy faces at DD.....that used to scare her to death but now she kind of likes it. If the weather cooperates we will be going to Boo in the Zoo Saturday night.

Sorry to write a book....I guess we love the zoo!!!!!!:goodvibes

I like zoos, but I haven't been to one in a long time. I've been to the San Diego zoo, that was simply amazing. It was a long time ago (1995), so I don't remember where we spent the most time. It's funny, I live in NY, but I've never been to the Bronx Zoo!

I'm more of an aquarium girl anyway. I could watch fish for hours. And if there are sharks there, I'll watch them for a long time too--I find them fascinating.

We have a zoo here, but won't visit it, as it has a history of substandard living conditions for the animals there. I perfer aquariums, and loved the Monterey Bay Aquarium when we went down stateside in Feb. Have a great day everyone!

I love zoos & watching animals.

We have a very small local zoo that has a great prairie dog exhibit, so fun to watch them in the tunnels. What I like about this zoo is you can sponsor the animals which has really kept the zoo in great shape & growing.

We are about an hour from the Bronx Zoo & I'm sad to report some of the animals are disappearing because of the economy:guilty:
Love watching the chimps, gorillas & elephants.

Did anyone see this photo? I thought it was just amazing~

No, I'm not an animal person. Even though we do the safari at AK I'm not comftorable.

I like to visit zoos if they're kept up, and the animals have nice habitats. Our local zoo just had a large amount of money pumped into it, and is actually now very nice. The Brookfield Zoo outside of Chicago is also wonderful. I love to watch the meerkats. So cute!!

The zoo was very good today.
We fell in love with a 3 1/2 week old ocelot named Eli.....SOOO cute.
When I get home, I will post a picture.
DD feed the giraffes and got her hand licked and slimy :rotfl: She loved it.

Do you have decorations up for Halloween?
If so, tell us about them.

I'm the loser house on the block this year! I just didn't get to it. With being gone and the kids getting the flu it didn't happen. Usually I put up these black fabric cutouts of a witch, some crows and a creepy Amish guy in my windows and the candles cast them as shadows. Tombstones, and lights. The kids will get to carve their pumpkins after school today--but trick or treating is at 6...nothing like waiting til the last minute! I should at least go and get the skeleton for the door.

I still take the kids to the Pgh zoo when we're home. I hate the Philly zoo. Too many cages. My favorite of all time is the NC zoo.

I'm going to try to post some pics...if it doesn't work don't laugh too hard! :goodvibes

if it works...these are flowers from DH for our anniversary. They sent a princess Minnie and pirate Mickey along with
