Restaurant reviews and recipes...formerly Disney QOTD

We're going to a movie this morning.
Then waiting for DS to call to find out what the rest of the plans are for today.

So far I have done 5 hours worth of school work (planned 7 weeks worth of spelling lessons, done 7 weeks worth of topic planning on the Aztecs and rewritten my timetable), got the garden ready for winter (did some pruning, weeding, got the garden vac out to hoover up the leaves) and I am now just having a quick 10 minute relax with a cup of tea! Then I will do some more school planning (my 1st literacy topic for the term and maybe if I have time prepare some of the resources for my Aztec topic.) We have the week off work next week but I am trying to get all my work done as early in the week as possble so I can have some days out during the end of the week.

I'm going to drop DS off at grandma's for a bit and run some errands with DH. I have some ornament shopping to do! :thumbsup2

Relaxing with some coffee & then to the park with hubby & the dog. Hopefully taking some fall photos before all the leaves are down.

This morning laundry, then helping DH set up the hot tub once It's moved from the old house to our new place. In the afternoon, all of us are going to a Vancouver Giants hockey game with a friend of ours.

My 3 boys are all in college and they seem to come home every weekend. My DH and I haven't had a weekend by ourselves since they left. Don't get me wrong I love the boys coming home, but we don't tend to get anything done around the house when they're home. So today we went to church, watched football and hung out with my boys. It was a great day.

Spent my day doing laundry and unpacking moving boxes. Was able to get a lot of pictures hung so the house doesn't look so sterile.

What things do you need to get done around the house and yard to get ready for winter?

Today is chore day here, so we are doing those things......mostly pool related, but a couple of things in the yard too.

I got my garden ready for winter yesterday so that is all done. The only things I need to get done around the house is to clear space ready for the tree to go up and to put away some of the summer things into the loft.

I'm thinking of painting the bathroom and dining room before I start decorating next month.

I need to clean the extra bedrooms in case my niece & nephews visit from Virginia. I use those rooms as 'catch-alls', when I want to quickly clean up downstairs, I put the extra stuff in those rooms, so if they visit, those rooms need to be cleaned. I'll clean 'em anyway, but the possibility of a visit gives me a deadline to clean!

Around the house just need to put up the storm door at our side entrance.

Outside nothing really, though John may blow away a few leaves.

My DH is in the process of putting down hardwood floors in our Living and Dining area, we need to finish this project and than clean good before Thanksgiving since I have the family at our home for dinner.
