Now that we are DVC we will get APs, before we used to buy expiring hopper.

Usually just the straight ticket w/water park add on.

We get the UK ultimate ticket: 14 day hoppers with 14 day water park access and 14 day disney quest access.

What type of park ticket do you get?
(hopper, non-expriring, AP, etc)

I usually purchase the 10 day, non-expiration tickets. These usually last us several years before I have to purchase again. We don't get the park hopper tickets, so we just do one park a day. The AP isn't worth it to us either since we only go to WDW once a year, sometimes once every two years.

Oh my goodness, each trip has been really good...some better than others, but all have had their magic parts.

I think the time I remember best is my trip in June 2004. I went with my sister, brother-in-law & their 2 girls, Samantha who was 5 1/2 & Dana who was 22 months old. We stayed at All Star Movies, which was perfect for 2 little girls who loved Disney movies (and their aunt too!). We went to MK together--just had such a great time riding the rides. Sammie loved Splash Mountain, and I had to ride to save face with a 5 1/2 yr old--and loved it. Dana would wave at the characters from her strollers--one or two actually came up to her & said hi.

but the best thing was that night. We stayed to watch SpectroMagic. Sammie couldn't believe how beautiful it was--and she just kept calling out the characters names as they went by--and when one of the marchers shook her hand she just stood there open mouthed. It was wonderful to watch the joy on her face.

I agree they are all great and magical ::yes::

But...my best, most memorable trip was in Jan. 2007.
I went with my BFF to celebrate our birthdays......her first trip to WDW :yay:
We had been planning and saving for 5 years!! Darn kids had to get through college ;)

We stayed for 2 weeks.
We did everything!
Our first outing took us to tea at the GF. We had on our birthday buttons and her 1st trip button.
They were so wonderful. Sang to us. Gave us roses and cupcakes ....and the Happy Birthday tiaras that "made" the trip for us :yay:
We wore them the rest of the trip everywhere!!
We got desserts at every sit down restuarant, plus at Casey's and a Mickey bar at DHS.....even at Margaritaville ;)
We got special seating at Fantasmic and the stunt car show.
She got chosen to participate in the Indiana Jones show. We were also in the Pirate Turorial. pirate:
Loads of birthday wishes.
It was just so much fun.
DH sent us a birthday basket also....pirate themed.
It was amazing.......now not sure how we can compare for our next trip there. :rotfl:

best memory....

22 years ago when I was a CM, I worked in fantasyland in a store and when the park was closing it was my job toc ollect the left over strollers and take them to the front of the castle. One night a guest walked up to me and said that her daughter loved Cinderella and did not get to see her and could I pretend to be her, so I went over to the little girl in her stroller and her mom told her I was Cinderella and I explained to her that my wicked stepsister made me clean up every night when the park closed and that was why I was dressed that way and why my hair was dirty(I have black hair not very cinderellish) she believed it and we talked for several minutes and she gave me a hug goodbye. such a little thing made an impact on her and myself. It still makes my smile when I think of it.

I also have wonderful memories with my children there but this one is always has always been a favorite

and I bet that little girl & her mom always remember the CM that did that--how sweet!

So many to choose from but I will go with my first trip there. I didn't even want to go. I was just making good on a promise to my DS. He had seen a commercial on TV when he was 7 or 8 and asked if we could go. I told him we would go before he turned 10. Well, I got the trip in with 3 months to spare.

We had such a fantastic time. I never would've dreamed that I'd enjoy it so much or that Epcot would be my favorite park. I was every bit as amazed with everything as he was.

We've been back every year since then, except the year I had my baby and he turned 12 last week.

The magic of the first trip can't be replaced with other trips. (IMO) Other trips have a different kind of magic to them, all of them special to each of us.

Our first trip as a family down to DL in Feb this year. The most memorable moment is when we went on the GRR at CA. DH assured me that the middle seat was the driest, so that's where I sat. Well the first drop the raft went down sideways, and a large wall of water came over the raft and soaked me from head to toe. After the ride the kids wanted to do it again, and since I was so drenched, we did it again, and had a blast.

I have 2.
1) Last year on our 1st trip to Disneyland for our 10th anniversary we decided to book a VIP guide for the day. She was amazing! We got to ride the Nemo subs without any wait, got VIP fastpasses for loads of rides (several rides we were allowed to ride twice), we got the whole of the Billy Hill and the Hill Billies show dedicated to us (the song about the British coming was particularly amusing!), we had a private screening with turtle talk with crush, we got to ride the Lilly Belle, rode the 1st ride of the day on soarin on our own (then stayed in our seats for a 2nd go), went in to California Adventure before it opened so got some great photos amongst other things. Plus we had VIP seating for all parades, shows, fireworks and fantasmic during the week. Oh and the day ended with a meal at the chefs counter at the Napa Rose. The somalier was amazing and after the meal gave us a free large glass of our favourite wine to take back to our room.

2) After many trips to the various worldwide Disney parks last year I took my parents to Disneyland Paris. Seeing them walk down Main Street for the 1st time and understand the magic was unreal. That and staying in the Disneyland hotel where at Paris it is located right above the park entrance and you eat breakfast every morning (included in your room price) in a room looking right down Main Street looking at the castle.

Do you have any Disney decorated rooms? Tell us about them.

Nope, but I have an awesome Disney Christmas tree. :thumbsup2

I have a Disney Christmas tree too ::yes:: and enough ornaments for a couple of more :rotfl:
the new house will have a taller tree, so more of my ornaments will be able to go on it.

I do also have (had :( ) some Disney rooms....I will again. Right now, most things are packed away.
My computer room is Sorcerer Mickey and my scrapbook room is pirates.....the new house those 2 rooms will be one, so I have to see how the decorating will go.
One of our guest rooms is celestial with Tink.......and now it might include Merryweather too.
DH's office will be Donald.
One bathroom is scattered Mickey.

DH making me wear a It's My Birthday Button one year, and a CM at the TOT gift shop putting her arm around me to yell at the top of her lungs that it was my birthday, and got everyone to sing happy birthday. :o

My living room - John had me move my 2 hutches out there, also I have a very tall stand with all my snow globes. The wall behind my sofa had a framed puzzle of Cinderella's Grand Arrival (to the castle, back before she was a princess) and my cork boards with my pins.

Also my kitchen has a shelf above my cabinets and I have Disney stuff up there. Plus Disney scattered about the rest of the house.

When my kids where all young (3,4, and 6), their first trip to Disney, we had just entered the gate to the MK and there was Mickey and off runs my 4 year old to greet him. They just loved the characters and I loved watching them around the characters. Now they're all in college and it's like pulling teeth to get them to visit WDW with my DH and myself.

No, I have garden statues sitting in my sun room and a few figures sitting else where in the house, plus I have lots of Disney Christmas ornaments for our Christmas tree.

Have you ever attended MVMCP? What did you like best? Would you go again?

Have you ever attened the Candelight Processional?

Yes, I've attended both and love them both.

MVMCP-you can't beat the fake snow, the Christmas parade or the atmosphere in general. We had such a good time. :santa:

Candlelight processional-was incredible. Again, one of those things that I came across by accident. Blew me away.
