Restaurant reviews and recipes...formerly Disney QOTD

Glad that the pump was an easy and cheap fix, hope you can figure out the hot water heater soon.

Thanks for the info on Brown Derby, we love 50's so we will just stick to that.

I prefer 50's. Love it there....so fun!!
Like sitting in my grandma's kitchen too ;)

Glad to see you made it back home safe & sound!! Well, expect poor Dave. :sad2: Hope he is feeling better.

If you could have any job at Disney, what would it be?
:scratchin I always thought being on the Dream Team would have been a neat job. Course that was a temporary assignment. :rolleyes1
Gotta be a pin team somewhere. That would be good doing anything on that team. :woohoo:
I also always thought a job that would be interesting is a room assignor at a resort. :confused3 But since I do not know anything about that, I may not like it at all. :rotfl2:
A job in an office behind the scenes somewhere on Main St USA sounds ideal. :3dglasses Wherever it would be, I would want A/C! :dance3:

Welcome Home Nancy, wishing that Dave will be healthy real soon.

LeCellier is one of my favorites also, love the mushroom filet and the potatoes, it just melts in my mouth. Plus, the desserts are heavenly. This place is a must visit at all our trips to WDW.

Now for the question of the Day, what job I would want at Disney, let me see, I think I would pick an events planner. I love planning parties and special events, so I think it would be so much fun planning special events for guest at WDW.

I'm with you, Barbara. Has to have AC!!

DH is laying around moaning  So guess he is feeling better ;)

you are going ::yes:: Dec. 2011, if not before ;)

Le Cellier is our fav.....has been for years and years, before you needed ADRs to get in
Dinner.....Mushroom filet....heaven. DH had the scallops and loved them too.
Lunch....Steak Burger! Love, love it. That's why we need to go more than once, to try something different. And of course, cheese soup for DH (I just take a bite).

First time to Saana and Paradiso 37. We only got a snack at Saana since we had eaten at Boma for breakfast (that is my favorite breakfast!!). I could just eat the French toast and be happy. We did like Saana and will go back for a "real" meal next trip.

We were happy with Paradiso 37 too. It was fun and I loved the unique ways they presented the food. Will go back there too. They are trying to get added to the dining plan, so we'll see what that does to it

We have also eaten at Rose and Crown many times. We like it a lot. A lot of the menus had changed from allears since I printed them, some as recently as Aug...so very new changes. They added a chicken and mushroom pie that DH had and really liked it. I splurged (diet plan) and had fish and chips....so yummy. And I don't really like fish ;)

We had the Med. chicken salad at Earl. Love it....and you sure can't beat their prices. And a brownie.....yummy!! Reminds me of the Ghirardelli brownies :teeth:

the biggest disappointments were Pecos Bill's and Columbia Harbor House. We had salads, so I guess those are not places to go for those. Stick to the fried stuff :rotfl:

LeCellier is my favorite TS at WDW. But I only go when I have the dining plan--I just can't afford it! I love the pretzel bread too. I didn't care for the cheddar cheese soup. I know, I'm in the minority. I also didn't like zebra domes!

I eat those fish & chips at the counter service place around the corner from Rose & Crown. My every trip meal ever since my sister-in-law introduced them to me back in 1993.

I was disappointed in Pecos Bills last year. I used to get this really yummy chicken salad there. It was grilled chicken atop a jicamia (I know I spelled that wrong) slaw with a really light vignerette dressing. Went there last year, they didn't have it. I love hamburgers, but I don't really like fast food hamburgers. I went to Columbia Harbor House in 2004, haven't been back since. Not a particular favorite of mine.

And yes, I am planning to do that trip in 2011! I turn 50 that year, so I am determined to go. I think I'm going to tell my sisters & brothers & dad that I don't want any fancy party, just give me money or Disney Dollars!

Disney Dollars sound good!!
I'm sure some of us will have TiW for dining ::yes:: That savings does add up.
I used to like the salads a lot of places, but almost all of them are gone now!
I wish they wouldn't mess with those. It is one of my staples.
WCC had one I loved. I got the skillet this time, but I really don't like enough about it to do that again.
I don't like the CS burgers at all.......always looking for something to get at CS. It is hard sometimes.

I forgot to answer yesterdays question.

I would want to be a baker, I love to bake the only problem is I can't decorate.

Do you get your picture taken with the characters?
Autographs?
Just snap pictures of them around others visiting?

We used to. Now the kids want to ride and not wait in line for that. If the line is short, they will go. We get our pics mostly at character meals now.

We sometimes take pictures just passing by.

We did at character meals also.....but haven't been happy at the last couple, so we probably won't be doing those anymore.

DH won't do it......when BFF and I went we did all the characters we could find (of course it was Jan. and lines were low) and got autographs. It was loads of fun, not sure we would do it again though.

We haven't been happy either. I'm glad you said that, I was thinking it was just us. ;)

Glad you agree, Trish.
Seems if someone feels that way, others do too ::yes::

Our last one was last Jan. at 1900 Park Faire......unless DD wants to do one sometime, we are done.....well, until grandkids maybe ;)

yeah, I do. I do the Disney Visa meet & greet, so I can get a free picture. I don't bother with autographs.

On my last trip, my friends & I had a great time with the characters. (in fact, I used to have a picture with me & Tigger in my signature from that trip). When I'm alone, I don't bother at all.

I wouldn't do character meals at all, but I really like Crystal Palace. I probably won't do that solo again, but with some friends it's fun.

Friends make us do things we wouldn't usually ;)

My friend and I did the Visa meet too....it was really fun. DH, won't.
DD would. I think I need to do a mother /daughter trip some time soon again.

I got that too.

Also $1 tarts and votives are going again until 10-4 ;)

I don't get my photo taken with them anymore although I take photos with my nephew & the characters.
When the babies come I'm sure I'll be back in the photos:thumbsup2
