Ghirardelli's Ice Cream Shop

One of my favorite ice cream shops, a must do for each of our WDW trips. We will eat here for lunch sometimes instead of getting regular lunch food, love their ice cream sundays.

We start eating at Ghirardelli's when we lived in California, we lived there for about 1 1/2 years, each time we would visit the city of SF, we had to get our ice cream. A couple of years ago we took our boys to SF for vacation and stayed in a timeshare within walking distance of Ghirardelli's, guess where we ended up every since night of our vacation, that's right Ghirardelli's for our evening ice cream. We just love the place.

We love it too. Go every trip.
When it is just girl's (BFF or DD) we got for a meal.

I am a SF girl, so grew up with Ghirardelli's.

I am in need of an ice cream from there, we didn't go to Downtown Disney last Nov.

Not a Ghirardelli fan. :confused3 I stopped eating anything from there awhile back. Again, rarely go to DTD. And the last 3 times our sundaes were like soup. The last one I almost sent back it was so bad.
Instead I just stopped going there. And we have a chocolatier down the street that beats the heck out of Ghirardelli. Ghirardelli is bitter compared to the other place. Peterbrooke Chocolatier is who I go to now. And I think it is a Coldstone that is right next door, if I wanted any ice cream.

We once tried the ice cream place inside of the Swan. (Or is it the Dolphin?) Either way I liked that better as they also serve food.
In case anyone is daring, they also serve Beer Floats. (Yes, not rootbeer. Beer.) Not an alcoholic drinker, so cannot give any reviews from personal experience. ;)

We have eaten there a few times. But not for a few years. It's okay. We have always had good service there. It's fairly quiet. Actually pretty quiet, compared to most WDW restaurants.
Shutter's is a nice stand by if you need a last minute dinner res or possibly a walk up. They are pretty easy to get into.
I would eat there again. But would not go out of my way to do so either.

Grocery shopping....do you always go to the same store? Do you shop the ads or just go get what you want at the closest place? Do you shop with a list?

Costco, Giant and a little store right here called Weaver's. (GREAT store--fresh meats!) Walmart for some things.

QOTD.....3-22

When was the last time you flew somewhere? Where did you go? When will you fly again? What is the longest flight you have been on?

Last October--Orlando. I went to France in HS.

Shutters at Old Port Royale

Haven't eaten here...

We haven't tried it, but I have heard it was really good.
Might have to check it out.
Hope someone has been there, so I can get another review.

Have eaten there a few times. But not for a few years plus.
Fine for a buffet. Although I think a few things may have changed since I have been there last. DH isn't big on it. And I am a little leery of buffets in general.
Pretty surroundings though.
