To recap: We are a family of four--Mom (45), Dad (43), Son (16), and Daughter (nearly 14). Our habit is to have our breakfast in the concierge lounge at our resort (Polynesian is our favorite) and then a 12:30-1:00 p.m. lunch. We seldom eat dinner while at WDW because (a) we're still full from lunch; (b) we aren't big dinner eaters; (c) the lounge appetizers are MORE than enough for a light evening snack; and the #1 reason (d) it's too warm in the summer for a late, heavy meal! That said, we usually reserve a night or two for a character dinner or other favorite. All of the meal totals include tips.

50's Prime Time is one of our favorites. We have always enjoyed the atmosphere here as well as the food. Our server was very competent and a nice girl, but really didn't overdo the antics. This was somewhat of a disappointment, but more to our son than us. While we were dining, there really wasn't too much going on although the restaurant was busy. The servers just weren't too into the whole role playing thing this day I guess.

Dad and I ordered the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. Our son had a spicy chicken sandwich with fries and our daughter a kid's mac and cheese. We all split the onion rings which really aren't rings, but rather strings. The kids also split a PB&J shake and s'mores. Dad and I also had an "apple juice" each. Our total bill for 50's PTC was $90.21 We all enjoyed our meals and made it to the clean plates club.

San Angel Inn was our next stop. I know that others do not enjoy this restaurant, but our family enjoys dining here each and every trip. This visit was no exception. We had PS for the last available lunch time: 3:45 p.m. We had originally booked a PS for 1:00 but because of our attendance at E-Night the evening before, we were wiped out and opted to hang by our pool all a.m. and rest.

Our son ordered quesadillas, daughter enjoyed an adult meal (portions here are smaller) of nachos de pollo, Mom ordered and devoured the Plato Mexicano, and Dad had his favorite, Tacos al Carbon. Both son and daughter had sodas while, naturally, Dad and Mom enjoyed a Negra Modelo. Total for this meal was $79.99--why didn't Dad just ad a penny and make it even?

We originally planned to have lunch at Sci-Fi Dine-In on this trip, yet none of us could get too excited about going there. We have eaten at Sci-Fi before and didn't have a negative experience--just couldn't get really worked up over it I guess. We discussed it and decided to head back to either Le Cellier or Teppanyaki. A consensus was reached and we decided to dine at Teppanyaki again. We must all have expensive tastes since this was the most expensive meal of the trip. Dad and I thought what the hey, and we changed our PS from Sci-Fi to Teppanyaki. This time around our chef was quite the entertainer--he was very skillful with his knives and cooking utensils and had us all practically rolling. We thoroughly enjoyed his presentation as well as his food! Our service was just as efficient this time as earlier in the week.

Dad changed his selection on this visit and ordered the Scallops, Shrimp, and Lobster (Nihon-Kai) while the two kids and I stuck with our prior choices: Nihon-Kai for Mom, kid's chicken for daughter, and chicken/shrimp for son. When in Japan once must enjoy a Kirin Light and so Dad and I did. The kids had one momo (a fruity specialty drink) each and daughter's meal came with ice cream. Total for this second whirl at Teppanyaki was $135.20. This meal, even at lunch, is pricey, but very good.

While at WDW we tried to get into the ESPN Club for hot wings and drinks. We wanted to watch the Piston's/Laker's final, too. We planned this earlier in the week and we did try to go. Unfortunately, two to three hours before tip-off, ESPN was packed with a line waaaaayyyyyy down the Boardwalk. The hostess was telling people the restaurant was full and no additional people were being admitted. The bar area was, likewise, wall to wall people and very little room to even stand. We decided that was not an atmosphere we would enjoy so opted to order take-out.

We ordered hot wings and then bounced through EPCOT on our way to the monorail where we purchased three orders of fish & chips. We secured all of the food in a large bag provided by ESPN and returned to our resort where we watched the game and munched our take-out. Both the wings and fish/chips were delicious and we topped our impromptu meal with desserts from the lounge.

One evening we ordered a room service pizza from Polynesian. It was pizza--nothing spectacular, but not horrid. Our daughter's comment was that it was disgusting! The rest of us just found it "okay". Cost of the pizza (including 18% gratuity) was $19.50--it certainly wasn't worth the price.

The kids one evening at EPCOT had to purchase a couple of treats from the Boulangerie Patisserie. They shared a Marvelous and an Eclair--both were excellent (oh yeah, you can bet I stole a nibble). ::yes::

That about sums up our overeating adventure for this year. We are eagerly anticipating our return next June and trying to pin down dates so that we can schedule Hoop De Doo soon! I really hesitate to go since we've gone so frequently, but the kids are insistent. Thanks for reading!

Hey! New picture! I like it. And, thanks for the reviews. I have simply got to make it to Teppanyaki, sometime. Too many good restaurants; too little time.
