I see a thread about BOG breakfast price increase, but has anyone else noticed a general price increase recently? I have 2 specific examples to share that I've seen. I was at MK on Feb. 18 and the Plaza Restaurant chicken sandwich was $13.49, and it now shows $17 on Disney's online menu for a 26% increase. Be Our Guest croque monsieur sandwich was $12.99 and is now $13.99 for a 7% increase.

It's been several years since I'd been to the parks, and I thought that prices were pretty outrageous this time, but it's really hard for me to believe that they've gone up even more in the last 2 weeks! $17 for a chicken sandwich at the Plaza is just ridiculous!!!!!

Yes!

I was just thinking that since we went Valentine's week the prices have risen dramatically. I think BOG Ratatouille was under $20 and now it is $21. Steak at BOG was $33 and is now $35. Kids hamburger at Sanaa was under $10. Now it is $11. Sanaa had almost everything increase at least 50 cents.

You can find some online menus from February 2016 and compare to prices now. Definitely up pretty much everywhere.

This is a little more than nickel and diming. I have already decided that for our upcoming trip, unlike our last trip, we will be bringing lots of cereal and granola bars and eating more of that and canceling some reservations. A few bucks per entree per meal per person really adds up.

thank goodness for Southwest's 2 free checked bags! that gives us plenty of space to bring our own juice, water, snacks, and breakfast foods. Last trip i brought Horizon milk singles for DD to drink at dinner, but also for breakfast at the resort, paper bowls, spoons, and cereal. All DD wanted to eat was peanut butter and jelly. This trip we are bringing the makings for her, and a sandwich saver case to bring it along. I'm not paying around 4 dollars for an Uncrustables. -which is loaded with sugar.

I couldn't believe that Chef Mickey's is $40 for breakfast :crazy2: o_O :scared:

And $50 for dinner :sad2: :rolleyes1

I am still in shock.

I don't generally mind paying more for food, but my problem is the quality for the price. A $17 chicken sandwich ought to be the best chicken sandwich in the whole world, and I'm guessing it's not. I wish the quality of food were better.

Where can you see current prices? When you look at disney's official site the buffet prices give a range.

So. . . .If I have a ressie with dining plan from December - am I better off than most??? (Or does it go up too?)

I am planning to bring snacks and juice also...in the past we packed food in shoe box sized plastic containers. However, this will be our first year that we want to attempt bringing juice/nesquik. Do you have any tips for how to pack liquids? I am terrified that something will somehow explode and make a mess. I plan to put in plastic bags in the plastic container, just in case....

hi, i saved a sturdy shipping box.. we order things all the time, so we had one on hand in no time. then i put three of them in my duffel.. and it was a flimsy fold up when empty duffel.. which worked out well b/c the plan was, when the food was gone, fold up the duffel and pack in the suitcase so there is less to deal with at the airport. So i put in my three boxes which fit the inside of the duffel well and made it sturdy. then i put all the liquids into ziplocks, which made for quite a few but that is fine. then i packed them tightly with just a little wiggle room. nothing leaked at all. you can keep the packages unopened if you can, put them in the ziploc, then into the boxes. i did close the boxes and tape it shut with just one piece of tape so i can easily open them at disney.

We get bowls, spoons, milk, and cereal delivered from Garden Grocer, which is admittedly expensive compared to our local grocery store but still much cheaper than Disney breakfast prices.

I just looked at the menu at the HBD and prices are up $1-2 in most items.
