Restaurant Prices At The Deluxe Questions

Hi Gang

We were at the Swan in 2003. One thing that I noticed was that the resort restaurants (and surrounding area) pricing was pretty expensive. In fact I found that it was the same price to get a really nice room service meal, which generally you'd find a room serivice meal expensive.

So my question.. are the moderate and value resort restaurant prices in line with the resort costs? Deluxe.. expensive, moderate... well moderate, and value ..inexpensive?

Just curious.

Andy

If you go to Allears.net you can find the menus and price ranges. Usually there is a range at the resorts. Remember that the Swan and Dolphin mostly cater to conventioneers, so they have more expensive restaurants.

Some good alternatives would be eating big lunches and counter service dinners.

Also at the Boardwalk, you will find the ESPN Club, and Big River Grill and Brewing Works which are both reasonable. AT the Yacht and Beach Club, there is a great all you can eat buffet for dinner at Cape May Cafe, and The Yacht Club Galley is reasonable, and open for lunch, and there is also Beaches and Cream for burgers and shakes and sundaes. At the Contemporary you can get a good steak for lunch at the Concourse Grill, at the Polynesian reasonable fare can be found at the Kona Cafe and at the Grand Floridian, there is lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe. At Wilderness Lodge breakfast, lunch and dinner is available at Whispering Canyon.

Lunch will be cheaper than dinner and everywhere but Cape May Cafe, that I listed above are open for lunch.

Loosely, the answer is yes. Here are a few examples:
The Grand Floridian is WDWs signature deluxe resort. The price range for an entree at Narcoosee is $25 for chicken to $54 for lobster.
Citrico's - $21 - $31 the Character buffet at 1900 Park Fare is $28.
Beach Club: Cape May seafood Buffet - $25
The Boardwalk area restaurants vary in price.

Moderates: CSR Maya Grill, entrees $15-$25
POR Boatwrights, entrees $14-20

The Value resorts all have food courts.
