Restaurant Marrakesh

Maybe we went on an off day, but I thought the food was awful. It was very bland and all the meat was overcooked and dry. The service was good, the belly dancing cute, and the staff was super friendly. But we won't go back.

On a side note, there are some interesting cultural differences there. One of the waitresses picked my 20 mo old boy up and walked away with him to show him off to other cast members. It was kind of weird, but funny and cute since she didn't mean any harm.

I think the reason it is not so busy is because most people are not that adventurous with their eating.Look how many picky eater posts we get on these boards. There is a reason that places like Le Cellier fill up fast..Simple, meat and potatoes kind of food.

You stole my next post. That's exactly it. That's why places like Whispering Canyon, Trails End, Rainforest etc. always get rave reviews. People are just plain simple when it comes to eating. You don't see people beating down the door to get sushi at Kimono's. Marrakesh suffers the same fate, along with others like Akershus and Sanaa. All good places, just a bit too adventurous or ethic for the masses.

We are trying Marrakesh for our next trip. It was my idea (I just discovered Moroccan food last summer while in Andalucia) and I'm hoping that the others like it!
