We are starting to do our plans for our ADR's, and my husband wants to try Marrakesh. He is a picky eater...so I'm not sure why he chose this place. It will be the 2 of us, plus our daughter (age 5). Does anybody have any good/bad things to say about it? Thanks so much!

We ate there this past dec and it was pretty good. We are also picky but they have something for everyone. DH got beef couscous and he said that it reminded him of pot roast. We liked the neat atmosphere and they invite the kids to dance with the belly dancers.

We ate here during our trip last April. We had a fabulous time. The atmosphere was really fun, they have belly dancers. (This may be why your husband chose this place!:goodvibes) The food was great. There was something for everyone. Even our 4 year old! Enjoy!!!!!!

We ate here for the first time last summer - the food was YUMMY! My 10 month old loved the atmosphere and the waitstaff were great with here.

DH and I ate here last September and HATED it. We usually consider ourselves to be pretty adventurous eaters, but we didn't like this at all. As with any restaurant, people will have differences of opinion. I'm just glad we didn't take the kids there. Also, it is very loud in the restaurant. On an up note, Morocco is my favorite country to shop in Epcot.

we love this place. it's a must do for us on each trip. we get the chicken couscous. it's nice and grilled and flavorful. i really dislike couscous but for some reason i love their's. i'm craving some right now but i have to wait. 10 weeks from tonight i'll be having some.

DH had Lemon Chicken when we were there. We aren't big olive people, but the dish was delicious. I tried the Beef Couscous and it was also good. However, I was coming down with a cold so I feel it could have been better for me.

We also paired each dish with the recommended wine option which really enhanced the flavors.

I would really recommend giving it a try. We had excellent service and I look forward to trying it again.

I have always wanted to try this restaurant for its atmosphere but am so afraid of the food lol

Do they have any plainer items like steak or chicken or is it all with the Morracan flair?

DH and I went December 09 for lunch- loved the theming, salads, desserts, and service. Make sure to schedule when the belly dancers are there. We made our ADR 40 minutes too early and missed the show.

I agree, this is the one place I do not want to go back! The food was bland no taste at all. The staff wasn't friendly at all and I feel that we're pretty friendly people. It just wasn't for us. The belly dancing was the only thing that was good.

My family loves Marrakesh! My husband and son just ate there on Feb 27 and loved it. My husband reported back that the food was just as he remembered and he had more than enough food. My son tried the mint tea for the first time this trip and not only did he enjoy the tea itself he loved watching the server pour the tea. :) I only wish my daughter and I could have joined them, but we were too tired and spent the day at our resort. Marrakesh will be back on our dining itinerary for next year!

We didn't like it much... We thought it wasn't worth the "money"... but if you're on the Dining plan... well then, you might want to give it a try...but still, there are better ones out there!

My husband is an extremely unadventerous eater, but loves this restaurant. He alway orders the chicken couscous. I love the lemon chicken. The kids also love this restaurant. When I am making ADR's this is one restaurant they all request

My husband is a VERY picky eater and he ate nothing. We had to find a counter service when we left to get more food!:rotfl: Anyway, I'm pretty adventurous, but this restaurant was not for me. The show was good but not the food.

Now the Japanese place (Tepan Edo) was Great!

Why not try the quick serve "Tangerine Cafe" instead-same food-lots cheaper=but no show;)

Rating......:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

This has been a staple, a must do for lunch for the past nine years. At that time my daughter was just 10 years old, and she loved the food.

If you would like to play it safe, and have some very tasty food that will keep you coming back again, I would say to try the; Combination Appetizer for Two - Beef Brewat Rolls, Chicken Bastilla, and Jasmina Salad $15.95

The Chicken Bastilla - baked layers of thin pastry stuffed with minced chicken and almonds, sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar.

The Beef Brewat Rolls - layers of thin pastry stuffed with seasoned minced beef, fried and sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar. And the Jasmina Salad is ourstanding.

Tell me that doesn't sound tasty? And for the price....you cant beat it. And there is a show with relaxing music. What is there not to like?

Try something new.....you'll enjoy it.

A few years ago I would have said go for it. The food only sounds adventurous - I didn't think it was that far off the typical american tastes (I'm picky) - and the appetizers were good! Plus, the belly dancer and the live band is unique! BUT...I guess I thought that what was once a beautiful restaurant was showing it's age. It was really dingy. Also, we were sitting by the kitchen, and wow...it was interested to see how the male wait staff acted when they thought they were "off stage." I have never really been wowed by the service here, but that was the worst.

So, I guess I would suggest dining elsewhere, then catching Mo'Roccan in the evening to see the belly dancer (with a much better view, I might add).

I was going to say the same thing about her husband! I said to my DH that I really wanted to go to either Beirgarten with the Oompa Band or here with the Belly dancers. He really enjoys trying different kinds of beer so I told him that's where we were going. He said, "I can get beer anywhere. Let's go to the Belly dancing place!" So that's where I will make the ADR. We also tend to like different ethnic flavors, so we are excited to go. My DD 7, is the only one I'm concerned about, but she can have chicken nuggets.

We have been twice and loved it both times. We travel with a few very non-adventurous eaters in our gorup - and everyone found something to like! I LOVE the beef skewers with hummous. Their bread is also pretty great.

The only thing I am not a big fan of is their dessert selection...

We enjoy it, and always have. The show is unique and entertaining. The food is good, the lamb shank cous-cous is delicious. My son (13) is a kabob man so that's what he's been getting there since he could chew! For picky kids they have pasta, chicken tenders. I love the Spicy sausage appetizer! I would recommend it!
