First of all wanted to let you know you can get 80% off right now by using the code bonus

Secondly, can someone please explain how it works? I bought a $50 gift certificate. I see that it says you have to buy a min of $100. The place that I bought from is a small local italian restaurant where you can have a dinner for $8, so I don't see the need in $100. Also from the way it's worded it looks like you have to use it at one time.

So, please fill me in. Thanks!:goodvibes

Pretty much the requirements for use are shown for each certificate.Like you said if you bought a $50 certificate most of the restaurants are going to require that you spend $100.With the $25 certificates usually they require $50 although some that I've bought said $35.Other requirements you might see is dinner only, alcohol or drinks are not included in the amount you purchase etc..Also they'll likely include a 15 or 18% tip into the bill.I just used one like 2 days ago at Mojitos in Miami,$25 certificate,$50 minimum purchase,it was 3 of us we had 3 appetizers ranging from $3 to $7.50,and 3 entrees $8,$13 and $15,it was just over $50 plus an espresso, after tax and tip the final bill came to $41.The $50 certificate is good especially if you're going with a bigger group but if it's only a couple of you and the restaurants prices are not that much then you're not likely to be able to use it.You have to check the menu and how much the prices are before buying the certificates, for example I have a couple $25 certificates for a Brazilian churrasqueria where the prices are like $45 a person since it's a flat fee,so for 2 people you're still looking at spending close to $100 for 2 people after drinks and tip even after they take off the $25.

I just bought two $50 certificates. I didnt see anywhere on the site that said you must spend $100. The only thing the site said was a minimum purchase of $35 and added 18% gratuity before the discount. Then I get the thing and it said minimum purchase of $100 required. Theres no way I can use them cause there is just me and DH going. So I guess its a lesson learned....but good for me it was only $4 each!! I guess I'll go buy the $25 certificates so we can actually use them!!! Lesson Learned!!!

You have to click on the certificate price to get the info on the requirements for that certificate, when you saw that $35 minimum it was probably clicked on a $10 or a $25 certificate.

Just an FYI, I do beleive you can still trade a current certificate for a new one.

I did that once when I purchased a gift certificate and then realized that I would never spend the minimum amount. I was able to exchange the valid certificate for a different one.

I find it helpful to think of their certificates as coupons, because that's what they really are. For my family of four, the best ones are the $25 off $35. We've got a couple good locally-owned restaurants we like that offer the $25 off $35 and our family of four can have a nice sit-down meal for around $20 after tip. Fast food is more then that around here!

Darn, I wish i would have been on her to see this before I bought two more at $25....although I dont think $4 will break me....and who knows, maybe I'll be able to use the $50 ones and if not, I'll give them to My family that lives in that area and they can use it....
