Restaurant.com/House of Blues

ON THE CERTIFICATE: Minimum purchase of $35. 18% Gratuity added prior to discount. Cannot be used for Gospel Brunch on Holidays or Special Events.

This means you have to spend $35 and leave a 18% tip, which is still good because it's come to about half price, $10 for $35 worth of food and an approx $7.00 tip.

Always present your certificate before ordering so there will be no problems at check out.

I use Rest.com at least twice a month and really like them.

That's not what the 2 I bought say. They only say-
Special Instruction: Minimum purchase of $35. 18% Gratuity added prior to discount.
No other exclusions are listed on the ones I have.

It says ON HOLIDAYS and SPECIAL EVENTS...I wonder if the other times are ok to use them for gospel brunch????

Most of the certificates I have ordered said "Dinner only" or "Not valid on Friday or Sat." and/or "Dine in only" . The House of Blues certificate doesn't say any of this. It only says:
"Minimum purchase of $35. 18% gratuity added prior to discount."
I would think that it could be used for any time the restaurant is open since most of their meals are the same cost for lunch and dinner.
I am goign to try and remember to call them tomorrow to check on the Sunday Brunch and will let you all know.
and a quick note:
I have been using these certificates once a month at a nearby restaurant that we like and the waitress has never charged the tip on the bill since I usually give her 20% anyhow. This past time I didn't even check it and added a 20% tip to the total only to see when I got home that she had added it already. My own fault for not checking the bill and just adding up the total still due ($36)with the $25 then working out the tip from that amount ($61). I gave her $12 tip on top of the 18% she took.

Thanks for posting this. We've never tried HOB, but will be on our upcoming trip! Their menu looks super-yummy!

A couple of questions, though, since I've never used rest.com until now. We will be there with my aunt, uncle, and cousins. So, if we all go to eat together, will we be able to use 1 cert for them and 1 for us? Or would we have to act like we didn't know each other and sit at separate tables to do that?

They could've added this after noticing that it was not as good a deal as they thought.

I'd check before trying to use it. They have the last word on whether they use it or not. You can get a refund from Rest.com if there's a problem.

I'm not worried, I couldn't be paid enough to go to anything Gospel. And the $25 doesn't even cover one person. I'm only going to use mine for a regular meal. Just thought it was odd that the language was different. I am curious though: You mentioned using these cert. frequently - Is the one per month typically a calender month or a 30 day span? Our trip overlaps Aug/Sept, and I was wondering if I'd be able to use 2.

About the 18% tip, does that mean the tip is added and then you can use the certificate?

Oh, I get it now.

We picked one up for Chicago. It will be a nice lunch for us on our Anniversary trip. With the code it came to $2 for the $25 cert.

I've never used the same restaurant in a 30 day span. We have a few favorite restaurants that we try to NOT go to until 30 days pass but I've never asked what their parameters are. They have an awesome customer service dept that you can contact via email at info@restaurant.com.

In for one (and it just may be the catalyst for a trip in November 2010). I also found a good one for a local restaurant while I was at it. Thanks OP for the tip and the discount code! :thumbsup2

The HOB Gospel brunch limitation may not print on the certificate, but it was listed on the Restaurant.com website. Plus before purchasing, you have to click on the box that says you agree to the terms.

The 18% gratuity may or may not be added to your final bill. At the last restaurant I went to, they didn't add it, so I added it myself.

If you go to HOB for regular lunch and don't go crazy, its still a good deal.

Thanks for posting, I bought 2 for FL and one for Boston. My friend is moving to Orlando, so if for some reason we can't use both I'll just send one to her. :woohoo:

Thanks so much to OP for posting this, my DD wanted to eat at HOB and I couldn't justify the extra expense since we were already on DDP. Now I can make her happy and save $.

Thank you to the OP, I got 2. One for our may trip and one for Oct. Thanks again, I had never used this site.

A friend just told me about this. We love HOB and travel to Disney alot. I bought four. :)
