I have read that ONE of the Japanese restaurants has windows that fronts the lagoon. It is also said to be the only covered Illuminations viewing area. We love Japanese food and thought this would be a perfect PS for an Illuminations night in February.

In 2000 we ate at the Teppanyaki (food is cooked at your table/grill) and remember the windows facing the Japan courtyard. Is it the Tempura Kiku that looks out over the lagoon?

Any HELP would be appreciated! :teeth:

The Matsu No Ma Lounge overlooks the lagoon area.
However....there are walkways that are outside the
window, and intrepid Illuminations watchers often stand
there, blocking the view of those who are inside.

The lounge serves only a limited selection of sushi,
and that's about it. It's fairly decent.

This place wouldn't be on my list of viewing areas for
Illuminations.

Yup, I've been in that group standing outside on the balcony several times. I've often thought, "Boy, if I was in Matsu-no-Ma lounge right now, I wouldn't be happy!" However, there's always such a big group out there on the balcony, even if I leave, it won't help. But that's right-you won't see anything from inside the lounge.

Don't knock the view from that covered balcony until you've watched Illuminations in a downpour... after it has been raining all day!:umbrella: ;)
