I did that on purpose to drive my son nuts. It worked.

But that's what got me the lesson in pokemon pronunciation and plurals.

Refer to it as, "that hokey-pokey game."

My pet peeve in this genre is frig, though I'm not sure why. I don't get annoyed by many similar terms.

Another recent annoyance us yall. Not the word, the spelling. Y'all is fine, and is how my iPad autocorrected it at first. Which means that people producing the version without the apostrophe need to fix their autocorrectors.

One of my pet peeves is deliberate misspellings of words. I agree with Dave Barry that the owners of businesses should be fined for each extra letter/misspelling they include on purpose. According to him, if you are as bad as "Ye Olde Shoppe" you should be taken out back and shot.

Over on the Disney cruise boards, they often put an s on the end of the Palo restaurant. With or without the apostrophe, the correct name does not have an s on the end.
