Ressies Question

We have ressies for ASMO - two connecting rooms in Sept. We had orginally had the resort magic and now have decided to get our tickets seperate. When we call to change to room only is there going to be any problems with that? Will we still be guaranteed conecting rooms at ASMo ? Also, why is Disney so reluctant to give you a price break down?

I haven't had any problem changing my ressies - went from room only AP rate to a resort magic with special code. Since that is no longer available, I compared prices yesterday for a second room that I now need and got the best price with Fall Fantasy. Before I call I make sure that I have the breakdown myself. I price out the ticket option that I want, what I know the 'flexes' run (if there are any with a particular package), and I always ask for 'without breakfast' on the FF because we're not big breakfast eaters. Then when I call I have my calculator right there so I can take the price, deduct what I know I have to pay for tickets and flexes and divide the balance by the # of nights. Once I know what I'm paying for the room, I always ask them to check the DC price on the room and the AP price on the room and see which way is cheaper. I booked 2nd room at AKL standard for $153 - now I'll sit back and hope for a postcard or a code for late Aug., but I wanted to be sure that I had the room reserved for my dates. If you get a CM who doesn't seem very helpful, tell them thanks, hang up, and call back until you get one who wants to go the extra mile for you - my experience has been that overall the CMs have been willing to take the time to try and get me the best price.
