I am sure this has been asked before regarding the 11month/7month window. But, I want to make sure I am making them THE day of. So, here is my question. I am going to be booking SSR (not my home resort) for 8 days. I would like to stay two days in a studio starting 9/25 and then move into a one bedroom starting 9/27.

Do I have to make the reservation on these dates?

Res 1: 3/25
Res 2: 3/27

Or can I reserve all 8 days on 3/25. and have them switch me into a 1 bedroom????

It will be two separate reservations since you are changing villa type. These are not what we refer to as 'linked' reservations. They are just consecutive reservations.

Thus you'll need to make the 1st by calling on 3/25, then the 2nd by calling on 3/27.

When you take your vacation, you will need to checkout of the studio on the 27th, and then check into the 1-b/r. Note you may be without any place to stay between your 11:00 AM checkout and your 4:00 PM checkin that same day.

If you're lucky, there will be a 1-B/R available when you checkout of the studio so you can move right away. If not then it'll be the 4:00 PM checkin time.

other than that, yes, you'd have to call twice.

So, I am correct to take my date 9/25 and go back 7 months to 2/25.

I don't know why I came up with March... I work in finance... Scarrrrry.
