What is the best way to know if someone has responded to your post? Do you have to go into your profile every time? Subscribe to the thread? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

The best way is to subscribe to the thread.

The way to do that is to go to THREAD TOOLS.
Once you click on that, you will get a drop down box that says "Show Printable Version, Email This Page, Subscribe to this Thread."
Click on SUBSCRIBE TO THIS THREAD.
After you do that, you will get options if you want email notifications. You can get an instant notification which will send you an email each time someone posts. You can get daily emails which will let you know that one or several people have posted today. You can get weekly emails which will notify that there have been posts for the week. Or you can get no email notification and check yourself.

The USER CP will show you all the threads you have subscribed to. Threads with new posts will have bold letters and will show up first in your User CP. Threads without new posts will not, but you can always click VIEW ALL SUBSCRIBED THREADS to check them all anytime.
