This is dealing with all the football experts who say that Ohio State does not deserve to be where they are right now:

As a Buckeye, I want to apologize for the OSU football program. After listening to many at ESPN, and a number of national sports talk radio show hosts over the weekend, I want to apologize for the Buckeyes being 12-and-0.

I also want to apologize for the program beating six of the top 25 best offenses so far this season. After listening to all of these guys, I won't name names (you know who they are), I now realize that OSU's schedule must not have been very good.

Someone within the program should say they are sorry for beating Texas Tech and the fourth ranked offense in the country.
And of course Tech has put up those numbers against some weak teams, including Texas and Texas A-&-M. OSU was only leading 38-7 after three quarters and Tech's lone TD while the game was still a contest came on a great play their QB made on 4th and 2.

Apologies go out to WSU and Jason Gesser. OSU didn't realize you were going to finish the season as the Pac-10 champion. If the Buckeyes had realized what the rest of the nation is saying about them, which is they suck, they would have just rolled over for Gesser and the 11th ranked offense in the country. Shame on the Buckeyes for giving them that 25-7 beating. I know the Bucks are sorry.

OSU owes apologies to Purdue's 10th ranked offense, which they mistakenly held to 6 points and no touchdowns. Ditto to Illinois' 9th ranked offense, which put up an eye popping 16 points in four-plus quarters. Hey PSU and the 15th rated offense, OSU is sorry for getting lucky and beating you. The Buckeyes now know that Larry Johnson is the best back in the nation, which I actually believe, they didn't mean to hold him to 66 yards. Tell him they're sorry and didn't mean to interrupt his streak of setting Penn St. rushing records.

That happened before the Bucks realized they suck. According to the latest stats after this weekend's games, Ohio State has defeated the 4th (Texas Tech held to 21 points, at least 7 of which came late in the 4th Quarter against OSU's 3rd string D), 9th (Purdue held to 6 points), 10th (Illinois, held to 16 points), 11th (Washington State, held to 7 points), 15th (Penn St., held to 7 points), 23rd (UC, held to 19 points), & 46th (Minnesota, 3 points) rated offenses. The Bucks now know all of this.

If they are lucky enough to beat a dominating 9-and-2 team, which has won four games by three points, OSU will turn down the invitation to the game out in the desert. After listening to all of the "experts" over the last week OSU has realized it can't play football. Thanks for clearing this misunderstanding for them.

Please strike the Buckeyes from the polls. Don't let the fact that the Buckeyes have faced three Heisman Trophy candidates -- Larry Johnson, Jason Gesser and Kliff Kingsbury, dominating all three -- stand in your way.

I mean, clearly, we're not even the best team in the Big Ten correct? Iowa has played a tougher schedule correct? Their non-conference schedule included Akron, Miami (OH), Iowa State, & Utah State. Oh wait, no that can't be true because Ohio State played Texas Tech (Potential Big 12 champion), Washington State (probable PAC-10 Champion), Kent St. and UC.

Just last week "experts" were claiming Texas could beat OSU head to head, could they not even beat Texas Tech? IF, we are lucky enough to overcome the "Michigan" stigma and produce a victory this Saturday.....please continue to doubt us all the way to Arizona with a healthy Maurice Clarett.

In closing, does anyone know what Illinois, Purdue, PSU and Minnesota all have in common? Answer: They all were leading the conference in offense the week before OSU played them. Go Bucks!!!

Long Post...

My only gripe is they almost lost to a pathetic UC team...

Woah...just be glad they aren't picking the rankings.

There's that lovely and oh so accurate BCS to keep things straight.      Yeah a playoff would be so detrimental to society.

I just can't believe that Oklahoma is still so close in the race even with one loss (all the other 1 loss teams there lost very early in the season. Oklahoma lost like 2 weeks ago.)

Too bad you are not playing Iowa this year.

HAWKEYES eat buckeyes for breakfast!!!!:teeth:

:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Right on Luis!!! You should send that in to the Dispatch! I love it! Great analysis. I am going to have Chris read it tonight as I know he will get a big kick out of it and will agree 100%!

And Deb....GO BUCKEYES!!!

Thank you, Deb!! I have to think that the way the Hawks are playing that if OSU and Iowa met this year we'd see why the "football experts" are saying what they are!
Personally, I think the talk is coming from HOW the Buckeyes played in some of their games. Some people feel that they "squeaked" by Purdue, for example. So they're saying that they won, but they should have trounced the other teams.
If the Hawks had held their lead against what was then a pretty good Iowa State team, we'd be undefeated too. It's hard to be a Hawk fan...sigh...but I'm enjoyin' this year!;)

Thet're good but they still aren't the best. GO MIAMI HURRICANES!

We will see when we place for the national championship

Nice to see another Hawkeye fan, banaiem!!

We sure demolished those Golden Gophers last weekend, didn't we?:teeth:

LOL :teeth: That is so true Luis. Granted there have been some close calls here and there, I still can't believe that some people think OSU really stinks  Well whatever to them.

So whoever wrote what you posted, was very accurate and makes you really wonder what does supposedly make for a good team then

I'm not saying I don't think OSU has a good team. I was just re-stating what I kept hearing on ESPN and I have to admit I was a little dissappointed they didn't handle Purdue better. That's all.

Ummmm, Luis, ya wanna tell us how you REALLY feel? LOL Still have to go local though. GO CANES! (Especially since the Gators really suck this year:rolleyes: )

My feeling is if we play Miami, it will be a blowout

OSU 42
Miami 3

I'm sorry but if Miami is unwilling to commit 9 players to the box (the best they will ever do is cover 2) then Any Big 10 Team will blow them out of the water (Even Indiana)

Miami will never go for the slant passes, they will go for the big pass plays. What this means is 3 Interceptions for Mike Doss 8 Interceptions for Chris Gamble

7 sacks for Matt Wilhem.

Willis McGahee will rush for 79 yards. They will pass for 250 yards.

But none will go past the 15 yard line.

There is a reason why there has only been 1 touchdown scored against Ohio State in 6 games.

If we play Miami, it will be a long day for them. In My opinion Texas or Oklahoma would be harder for us (even though Miami could beat both with their eyes closed)

As to the Hawkeyes, I would love to see that matchup. But I have to remind you while you blew out Minnesota 45-21 (24 point difference) we blew them out by more 34-3 (31 point difference)

So just cause you beat a team by more than the other doesn't always mean that's indicative of what will happen in a matchup.

But hey Here's hoping that Washington State loses, Pitt wins, Oklahoma Loses and Notre Dame loses. If that happens, it will be Ohio State vs. Iowa for the National Championship. Then all the shoulda woulda coulda will be stopped :teeth:

Uh, that is certainly possible Luis, but I still think the canes have enough talent to whip your teams butt.;) Are they ranked #1 & 2? Canes #1 right? (Honest question, I haven't seen the polls this week, please no flames).

Miami is ranked #1 in both polls, Michele.

I root for OSU (with the exception of the week they play Penn St. :teeth: ), but I honestly think Miami is probably the better team right now. I can't imagine a 42-3 score either way, however. :)

  Wow...I don't think either team will score more than 20 points....

I think that score is a little extreme Luis...

Michigan is gonna give them a run for their money....

Okay sweetie, first I am so terribly shocked you actually wrote all that  Why can't you talk that much to me  ;)

And I must say that you are being overly optimistic about a final score against Miami. If (and I do say if even though I am a huge OSU fan) OSU can beat Michigan we have a chance at "going all the way" But Michigan vs. Ohio State has usually been about who has more on the line and Michigan would like nothing better than to beat us at home after last years defeat. If we can beat the "demon up North" then I think we will be strong enough to beat whomever we go up against in the bowl game.
