Hi!

I read several post re:resorts with waterslides and the only thig I come up with is Regal Palms, Orange Lake (fun pool) or Liki Tiki. We stayed at Liki Tiki and we wouldn't do that again (don't ask lol) So, I wanted to know how would I get the best rates for these resorts. I do not own timeshare and I've been checking our dates (4/29-5/13 not concrete. We can be flexible) and haven't found any good resorts available. We need a two bedroom villa and a full kitchen. Any suggestions? I'm checking into renting summer homes right now. I wanted a resort with alot of water activities. That's our kids favorite part of the trip.

Thanks

of course skyauction is being mean lately----I want CWR and I don't want to have to flight to Orlando to get it>>>>>>

Sheraton Vistana Resort also has a slide.

Horizons at Marriott has a slide - so does the new pool at Marriott's grande vista.

these prices are too high for me - but you might find something in your budget

The prices are high. I don't know if I should wait or rent a house. We might just rent a house if the timeshare prices don't come down. There are no Marriott's or Sheraton Resorts listed. How is Calypso Cay? I'm thinking not too good. Thanks for the help.

Carol

PS: What are you waiting for? I wasn't familiar with the abbreviations.

It looks like the perfect resort! How do you get it at a reasonable rate? That's the only resort that really got my attention.lol Our kids would love it there!

Thanks

Carol

Regal Palms shows up on www.hotelkingdom.com for $125 a night Presidents week for a 3 bedroom townhome. Not sure what you're looking for.

Even cheaper for your dates! Under $1500 for a three bedroom townhome at $105 a night.

Thanks for all the help. I only need a two bedroom villa not a three. I'm trying to get it for $1,000. Hmmm, I'll keep checking. I appreciate all your help. I wonder if they have any two bedrooms? Maybe I can call them up? :-)

Thanks

Carol

Sorry to be a pain but hubby is having a fit! lol We stayed at Cypress Point last year and we had a good time but we want to try another resorts which had more activities for kids. Especially water! lol I really want to book regal Palms but hubby said it'd too far 9 miles from disney then another 10 from the main gate. I think I'm gonna go watch t.v. and have him get online. lol God only knows where we would wind up!

Thanks

Carol

Any suggestions????

Sheraton Vistana Resort is within that distance and has tons of stuff for kids to do.

WindsorHills is a brand new resort with a great pool and slide. Community center also has fitness center, movie theatre, pool tables etc. Two bedroom condos are available on the owners website at www.windsorhillsrent.com. Resort is brand new and very close to Disney.

I was also going to recommend you check out the Windsor Hills website. We are staying in a large home there but not until next summer.

Vistana is on my list of places I would love to check out, especially because of the kids activities. It never came up for our dates on Skyauction though.

You should be able to get a good rate on a 2-bedroom condo at Windsor Hills and it's within the 3 mile range. To gauge some prices use the www.windsorhillsrent.com page and plug in your dates, size of unit, etc. and you will get immediate responses on your email with quotes from owners.

Good luck.

Celebration World Resort is within 3 miles but it doesn't have enough stuff for kids.

Silver Lake is also - but again these are small resorts - they generally don't have the long list of stuff to do.

there are the Marriott
Marriott Imperial Palms, Royal Palms, Sabal Palms - that are close to WDW an you can use the hotel on site for activities
www.marriottworldcenter.com

but trying to find these places for a reasonable price....

www.tug2.net - classified and on the BBS last minute rentals
www.redweek.com - you have to join it to do anything
http://www.myresortnetwork.com/ - this doesn't cost anything

here is the last one with the Marriott

Carol,

Just about to book Liki Tiki. My kids saw pictures and want to stay there our next trip. Please tell me what's wrong with this place. I can tolerate annoying timeshare sellers, but I can't tolerate dirty. Just wondering.

Thanks

The new pool at the Marriott's Grande Vista has a slide?! My kids will be thrilled! Do you have any photos? I tried to google it, but I couldn't find any photos of the new pool.

Thanks!

Heather,

We have stayed at LIki Tiki several times, our kids love it there. The pool
area is alot of fun for the kids and the condos are very nice. ( the newer section). If you got the older town houses I think they could be a little run down. It is not a fancy resort, but our rooms have always been clean and bright and the kids love it. ::yes::

Sheraton Safari has a fabulous slide and is reasonably priced. They also offer suites and if you get a Starwood card, late check out if available, early check if available and other benefits. Also was very close to Disney. :dog:
