Resorts, Relatives & Restaurants - and a 3 day cruise!

Tutto Italia sounds super-yummy!! The dessert looks TDF!!! :lovestruc I cannot wait to see the storytellers in the WS!! And I LOVE the Joy From the World shirts--too cute!! :goodvibes Can't wait to hear more!

Your desserts look great!!!

Those Joy to the World shirts are really cute:goodvibes

Oh, they were yummy!! The kids wore those to school right before Christmas with a long sleeved tee under. I thought they were adorable. I got a different one - black long sleeved with "sparkles" and a cute design, but I don't seem to have a picture of it.

Great Epcot pics!

Glad you enjoyed your lunch at Tutto. :goodvibes

Thanks! Oh, that was one good meal!! Yummy!

It was TDF!!! I really want to go back for more of the holiday stuff we missed. I couldn't believe with all we crammed in that there was more we didn't see and do! That's how they keep us coming back!

So once I finished shopping (for now!), we hopped on the boat to DHS! I'd say it was around 5, but I'm not sure. It was still light out. We were headed to see the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights! And what a Spectacle it was!!
It was fairly crowded - and Fantasmic was showing at 6:30 and 8 that night. We decided to see the lights first.

We got there just as it was starting, but didn't really have a good "spot", so we just worked our way through the crowds to experience it all.

I think this was somewhere on the Streets of America - it was so cute!

I'm not sure why this looks so RED! The lights over the top of the street (like a canopy) were red, but I'm pretty sure it was the camera settings.

Yup, baby Jesus was right where he belonged!

We really loved the OL! The music and the "snow" was amazing! Even though it was crowded, most people were pretty polite. Thankfully, I didn't encounter too many rude people there. That really would have spoiled some of the beauty of it. I could have stood there looking up all night! We checked out the side streets, looked in some of the windows, and found the famous LEG LAMP from The Christmas Story movie! It seemed a bit small to me! HA! I couldn't get a picture of it.
Well, no I didn't stay looking at it all night. We decided to catch the 8:00 show of Fantasmic! We made our way over to the theater. They were still letting people out from the earlier show, so we waited in a large pack. It was a bit annoying that people didn't seem to understand that strollers/wheelchairs/scooters were supposed to stay to the right and the strollers needed to be parked! GGGRRRRR! We stuck by our wheelchair and scooter and stayed to the right. We were able to sit in handicapped seating at the top of the theater -right in the center!! I was happy with that, because I didn't want to schlep down the steps anyway.

We probably were seated by 7:30 and just hung out, munched on popcorn and waited. I made some notes on my iphone (remember my journal? The one that was left in the car the whole time? - still there!)
It was not SUPER crowded, but the theater seemed mostly full - just not too full on the ends.
We really enjoyed the show, as usual! I think it was great that we managed to see it this time, since we sat in the RAIN in January waiting to see if it would be canceled, and then watched it all wet!!

We leisurely made our way out of the park toward the buses. Since we had a scooter and a wheelchair, we had to wait for handicapped availability. Dave took his mom and her wheelchair and took a bus to TTC (I think?) I know he got on a different bus than we did with Crash and the scooter. I'd ask him what that was all about, but he's working tonight.
Either way, we on a bus at 9 and were back at BLT by 9:30. Just in time to look out our balcony to watch and hear Holiday Wishes!!!
It was a great ending to a fun-filled day!

I forgot to add my "up next" to my last update!!

Up Next: Our last day at the parks, NO table service meals, would we make rope drop at MK?, Swimming, Wilderness Lodge and will we meet up with Shawna again??

There. Now I feel better.
I'm hoping to get more updating done this weekend. I have a big surprise toward the end of our WDW stay. (How's that for a tease?)

Any guesses? Nah, I'm not going to tell you yet anyway!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

I'm a little behind but your review of Teppan Edo was great! I am so excited to go this May-I think the kids will enjoy it. And your Epcot night pics were AMAZING! It looks like you guys enjoyed the Osbourne lights too. Your pics turned out cute! :goodvibes

Ooooh--a big surprise!! YAY! I LOVE surprises!!! :lovestruc The Osborne lights look AMAZING!!! And I hope to see Fantasmic in May (we have the dinner package). Last May we stood in line for 1.5 hours in the pouring rain and lightening and they ended up cancelling it right before the show was to start! Ugggh! Can't wait to read more! :goodvibes

Love all the Christmas pictures around Epcot and the Osborne Lights -- Disney is so pretty decorated for Christmas!

I didn't know Tutto had a sampler dessert plate -- that's what I need the next time we eat there! :thumbsup2

I love the girls' Christmas t-shirt -- very cute!

Whew! Glad baby Jesus was back in the Nativity scene that night! :goodvibes

Great update! I love all the photos. That dessert has me drooling!

Ooh, a surprise! I can't wait! :cool1:

Great update Sheree! I cannot believe Dave skipped Soarin'. That's the best ride at Epcot! Your meal sounds really yummy. :) I'm glad you got to see the Osborne Lights and now I'm super bummed we didn't look for the famous leg lamp.

Great update ~ LOVE the Osborne Lights!! :cool1: Looks like you had a good time. And YAY for seeing the lights and Fantasmic on the same night. You are way more ambitious than us! :rotfl:

Can't wait to hear your big surprise! popcorn::

Well, stick around. Hopefully I can update our 12/9 day and then the surprise will be revealed after that! In Jan. we weren't sure they would show F! and we waited in the rain because it was our only chance. Luckily they did!

Thanks! I thought the Christmas decorations were just so amazing! It was really all I cared about that trip. Well, that and eating! ;)

Great update... love the OL....
Thanks a lot - OL was just so COOL! Of course, we are big into Christmas lights at our house, but not on that scale!

Great update! I love all the photos. That dessert has me drooling!

Ooh, a surprise! I can't wait! :cool1:
Yeah, I could go for some dessert like that right about now!
I'll try not to drag out the suspense like making you wait another week! LOL! I should be able to get to the surprise in the next couple days.

Yeah - Dave is not a big ride guy, but I thought it was pretty tame! I think he'd like it. Maybe next time. I had heard about the leg lamp, so I really wanted to find it.

We really lucked out with our timing this trip. I thought it would be more rushed, but we did okay. I thought I'd be more tired, but also knew we had a cruise coming up and I planned on relaxing then! HA!

Wednesday 12/9 - Our last full day at the parks!! :(

We got up early so we could make Rope Drop at MK. We'd never seen the show before, since the only time we were ever there early, we'd had an early ADR and were already inside! So we made our way through the turnstiles and discovered that we didn't have any memory left in our camera!!! Dave quickly made his way over to the little shop by the gate and bought a 2GB memory card. That should help! I had a couple of memory cards with us, but found one had some old pictures from another vacation on it and I didn't want to delete them just in case. 2GB should get us through!
So we were able to take some pictures of the RD show.

Once the show was over, we went with the herds and made our way to the Main Street Bakery for breakfast.
We stopped to see some decorations on the way in.

This is one of my favorites. Auntie Donna is holding hands with Sarah and Paige. Auntie Sharon is on the scooter.

So, what did we order???
Well, more than we needed probably! HA!
We used 5 snack credits and got a Blueberry Muffin, Chocolate Croissant, Cinnamon Roll (the size of Paige's face!!) and a two pack of glazed donuts, plus a chocolate milk.
I also bought the special Souvenir Christmas mug with Mickey sitting in an easy chair with Pluto at his feet and it says Celebrate Peace. That was $4.47. It's so cute - I used it at work every morning through the Christmas season.
The four of us could barely eat all that food! Oh it was good. I had heard talk of the french toast loaf, and then heard that it was no longer there. Too bad. I know I would have liked that!
DSCN1186.jpg

Not the best picture of the mug. Sorry.
While we're sitting along the bar at the back, a really nice lady sees my LGMH and asks if I am a DISer!! YAY!!! It was the first time that ever happened to me. Then she said something like "I told you so" to her DH!! I think she was telling him that she wasn't the only crazy DIS planner!!
We chatted for a few minutes. I love when I make new friends b/c of the DIS!!
So after we'd stuffed ourselves full of sugary goodness, we headed up Main Street. We took some more pictures in front of the castle waiting for a PP photog.

We managed to hit quite a few rides. We had never been on the Speedway before - lines were always WAY too long.
So we did that. Sarah got to drive. :scared1: I rode with her. I couldn't stop laughing since we were NEVER going straight!
Dave tried to take some pics. He was in the car in front of us with Paige.
DSCN1190.jpg

DSCN1191.jpg

After that experience, I think I'll let Dave do the driver training (in 7 years!)
We headed to the teacups. I do not ride the teacups. I cannot watch the teacups. So DH took the girls and I wandered around taking pictures.
These two were out visiting. If you look behind them, that's Dave and the girls coming off the ride!
We headed to Pooh - at 10:05 there was a 10 minute wait! Yup, we rode that!! We were just sailing through Fantasyland! No one asked to ride Dumbo or the Carousel, so those we passed right by!

We rode Snow White's not-so-scary Adventure, got FPs for Peter Pan, Philarmagic, rode IASW, Haunted Mansion (walk on) went back and used our Peter Pan FPs and then met up with the in-laws that we had ditched, okay split up from, earlier. We got some lunch at Columbia Harbor House - someplace we hadn't tried before. DH got a shrimp platter and I got the Anchors Aweigh sandwich. I think the girls shared some, but I don't know for sure. I don't have any receipts for them, but they may have gotten kids' meals.

We were able to catch a little of Tiana's Showboat Jubilee while we were in that area. They paraded right by us onto the riverboat. I'll find the pictures and put them in the next post. We didn't stick around long enough to really watch the show. It was really fun music though.

We hung out outside CHH at Liberty Square and visited for a bit while we all decided what we were going to do for the rest of the day. I had wanted to check out Wilderness Lodge and the kids wanted to swim. It had gotten warm and sunny. We decided that we'd all meet up again later at MK so we could watch the castle lighting show and Spectro and Wishes. The nephews decided to come with us back to BLT to swim/relax. So we headed out and got a few photopass pics on the way out.
See next post!

Hi Sheree!
I realized today after you posted on my PTR that I hadn't gotten any notifications about updates on your TR. I came and checked and somehow got unsubscribed.:confused3 It's weird how I have seen that happening to some folks around the boards lately. Guess it's just one of those things.

Anywho, I just got all caught up!! I love all your pictures and your girls are just adorable! It looks like you guys are having such a great time!

Which ones of these relatives are from my neck of the woods in VA again?
