Love love love the CBR. We've stayted there twice and thoroughly enjoyed both stays.
The resort is large but that means the guests are distributed out evenly (meaning no crowds). The tropical/beach theme is carried out everywhere you look. Lots of palm trees, fruit trees, hibiscus plants and lush foliage.
Each village has their own quiet pool, beach and laundry facilities. The beaches have hammocks and beach chairs and some have small playgrounds for the kids. We have stayed in Jamaica and in Martinique villages and could see the Epcot fireworks from both locations. The laundry facilities are right next to the quiet pools which is a plus. You can swim and do laundry at the same time.
The rooms were clean when we arrived and were kept that way for our entire 10 day stay(s). Mousekeeping made sure we had plenty of towels, washcloths, toiletries and coffee.
The bus service was very efficient. The longest we waited for a bus was 20 minutes and that was in the middle of the morning...way after the morning rush. And, we had just missed the Epcot bus. We could see it pulling away as we were leaving our building. Of course, we were headed to Epcot!

Because the CBR is centrally located, it never took us long to reach any Disney destination.
I was very suprised at the variety of foods to choose from at the food court. The Grab N Go station has fresh made sandwiches, salads, fruits, boiled eggs, yogurt, pies, cakes, sodas, beer, wine coolers and a whole lot of fresh bakery items. Another section had pizza, pasta, salads and bread. You can find burgers, chicken strips and hot dogs at another station. Rotissiere chicken and turkey with veggies can be found at a station a little further down. My husband loved the Reuben sandwiches and the same station had other deli sandwiches.
At breakfast, there is an assortment of breakfast meats, omelets, eggs, waffles and pancakes.
Shutters is the full service restaurant at the CBR. We really liked everything we ordered and our picky 9 year old found something he could eat there too.
Old Port Royale is where you will find the arcade and the store. The arcade was not real large but it was large enough to handle the June crowd of kids. The store is divided in two with one side selling beach/tropical/pirate themed items. The other side sells the more typical Disney merchandise like t-shirts, toys, hats, souveniers, watches, etc.
The main pool is supposed to be undergoing a rehab but I'm not sure when that will be. The quiet pools are the typical size pool so you can still swim.
The marina is where you can rent pontoon boats, watermice, bicycles and surrey bikes. We rented the watermice and zipped around the lake for a while. We also rented the surrey bikes twice. It was a nice and relaxing way to see the entire resort.
I hope this helps in your decision making process. Here are pictures from our latest stay:
