I believe all of the following have beach access (i.e. beach to walk on, sit in chairs, etc.):
Caribbean Beach
Polynesian
Beach Club

Are there other resorts with this type of beach access?

Also, is it safe to put your feet in the water?

Much thanks for your help! :)

Wilderness Lodge
Yacht Club
Contemporary has a beach, I *think*
Ft. Wilderness
Grand Floridian

Not sure about the mods/values - do any of them have a "beach"?

Thank you for this information! Off to do some more research. :)

CSR and CBR both have beaches. With hammocks, boat rentals and chairs. At CBR's beach, you have some nice views of Illuminations.

:goodvibes I have personally witnessed a croc being removed from a resort lake a few years back. They are an ongoing issue that WDW deals with. Recently there was one found in a bathroom. It's nice to sit on the beach, but I would keep my toes out of the water.:goodvibes

Also, there is that bacteria that can grow in fresh water lakes in Florida. Its usually found in the shallow ends where temps are warm enough to support it. If inhaled it is fatal. Now if that didn't scare the pants off of you what will?! Its rare but it happens and I wouldn't want to swim in it, even just a toe dip. Also, its murky and sort of gross(at all the lakes). It makes for fun with building sand castles, viewing Wishes (from the Poly) Illuminations (from CBR) and I think relaxing in a hammock around any of the lakes at WDW resorts is just the best. But I'll stick to swimming in the pools!

I know you can put your feet in the water. I've seen plenty of kiddos playing and building sandcastles at the Poly beach and they seemed pretty wet to me!

Also, to confirm, I don't know that there's a "beach" at CSR. There's sand and hammocks in the cabanas section, but there is a barrier of reeds between the sand and the water so you can't actually dip your feet in or walk along the waterline.

I thought I saw signs around about not messing around in the water, due to the crocs.. That's what they have pools for..

There's a beach at the Swan and Dolphin too.

As far as putting your feet in the water, that is fine. The bacteria in the water needs to be inhaled. Unless you have a nose on your foot, it's OK.

And as far as alligators (it's alligators in Florida, the crocs will be on your feet), if one comes so close that you never see it, you are really doing something wrong.

"Despite the extensiveness of their shared habitat with humans, alligator attacks on humans are comparatively rare. Most alligators fear humans due to hunting; attacks on humans are typically a result of feeding of alligators. Once a human feeds an alligator, it expects food whenever it sees someone."

So, if you see one (rare), don't feed it, don't try and pet it, don't freak out. Simply get up and get a Cast Member. The alligator will be removed by Disney and relocated to a less populated area of the property.
