Resort transfer early AM with ECVs

My DH uses an ECV when we are at WDW due to medical condition, heat and walking issues. We usually rent a car for transportation, however we are considering using Disney transportation on this trip. We will be staying at GF for the beginning of our trip then transfering to AKL for the remainder. My question is we would like to arrive at AKL as early as possible to check in, have breakfest and head to a park. You can check in as early as 7:00 AM. How do we get from GF to AKL with the ECV and a party of four early in the morning? Your help would greatly be appreciated.

Is there any particular reason you need to be there so early?

If your luggage is packed Disney will transfer it between hotels at no charge.

Your KTTW from GF will remain valid all day for charging and for any remaining meals if you were on a meal plan.

So you could just take a bus to a Park from the GF and go to AKL from the Park to check in later in the day.

Otherwise your only real option would be for a taxicab and break down the ECV to fit in the trunk. You could call Mears the day before to reserve an accessible taxicab so you would not have to break down the ECV.

You won't be able to get there by 7am, but you can get there by 8am.

Be at your resort bust stop at around 6:45 and take the first bus to Animal Kingdom. The buses usually start around 7am or just a little before.

If you are the only party, or there are very few of you on the bus ask "What is the best way to get to Animal Kingdom Lodge" The driver may be able to take you directly there after stopping at Animal Kingdom.

If not, Boma is a popular breakfast spot, so there are many busses that are pulling up to Animal Kingdom, then heading on to Animal Kingdom Lodge, so it won't be a long wait.

For your luggage, you will need to call GF Bell Services before you head out that morning and they will pick up your luggage and get it transferred to AKL.

Another thing you could "try", but honestly, I think it will take a lot longer. Take the first monorail out of the GF to the Magic Kingdom, then go over to the bus stops for Animal Kingdom Lodge. You might get lucky and get a bus to AKL rather quickly, but most likely it will take a long while.
