Resort to resort buses?

I saw a post recently but can’t find it now where someone said they use the buses to go from resort to resort. I thought that didn’t exist. Has the option been added?

I finally found the post on the DISboards FB page. I didn’t think it was right but didn’t want to post a tangent response. Here’s what they said...

Yep, people post inaccurate statements all the time...Certain resorts share buses, but the buses themselves are only going to the park.

It would be hard to use shared buses as a transportation method to get from resort to resort, as the sharing isn't on a set schedule or guaranteed: when crowds are heavy, some bypass sharing. Only a few resorts share any 1 bus, and those resorts are close together, anyway.

You'll never get on a bus from Pop Century, and also have it stop at Polynesian, for instance. The Poly only shares buses with resorts in the MK area.

Yep, they are just wrong or misspoke and meant resort to park.
My bet is on wrong. People can post whatever they want on FB. I see it all the time

I have heard that some bus drivers on those early runs will offer to take someone directly to the hotel where their breakfast ADR is, but it's not something to count on.

That's more likely to happen when the bus' destination is close to Guest's destination, which is one reason it's a good idea to transfer at the park nearest your destination resort (except Epcot for the Epcot resorts.)

Well, that's what I meant. ;) Guest is on a bus for MK, there aren't a lot of people on so the guest starts chatting with the driver, mentions that they're going to the Poly for breakfast at 'Ohana, bus driver offers to take them directly there.

Very true and very possible, but hey tend to complete their trip to the destination first. They’ll stop at the Magic Kingdom and then take you to Poly, for example. I don’t think they’d take you there first, unless you were the only people on that bus.

I knew that's what you meant, but I didn't know whether the OP knew. :)

And it's true that they'll usually be dropped off after stopping at the park. Usually, the driver will be picking up Guests at that resort for their next run, or will make a quick stop at the resort on their way to pick up Guests at another nearby resort.
