Resort Swap - PROGRESS: Some POSTAL! Slideshows posted

:cool1: I am in that group Traci. Those are too cute for words. I think layering is a good option instead of cutting, because I probably will end up doing a two page spread so I am not to worried about the resort title not fitting. That way it could be used for both a one or two. Also depending on how many photos and such on the page I was thinking I might also do Contemporary at the top and Resort at the bottom. Heck who know... I have not even been there yet. Waiting for Sept. Just some ideas from my brain. Anyway they are awesome. Your stuff is always so nice.

Those are very cute! I wonder if the best thing, would be not to attach the monorail to the letter. That way people can decide what would work best for them, if they want to trim it down, overlap letters, etc.

So you think I should just keep the letters and monorails seperate and throw them all together in the baggie? just want to be sure what I'm doing with them.

Oh yeah...is it okay with the rest of the group members that they try to make "skinny letters"??

I already made and mailed mine. I think my "e" is on the skinny side and I am so so with the "p" being skinny. On page 11 post number 159 I posted some pics of mine. The contemp group is somewhat out of focused.

Alright, I'm chugging along... got another group done tonight.

French Quarter:

The Fs are "inked" with a gold marker around the edge, and the Ts all have a little Mardi Gras beaded "necklace" (it doesn't go all the way around though, so the letter is flat on the page).

Beach Club Elements:

They're wood - it's supposed to look weather-worn, like a house on Cape Cod.

I even made my own "sand" for the beach club elements! I mixed MS Carrara Marble Coarse Glitter with Vintage Photo Distress Powder, and got a great sand-like mixture.. I was proud,. The starfish are actually from a shower curtain, I believe - we saved the little ring decorators. The mini-slide mount decoration is a MS punch around the page.

I have not cut my letters for this group yet...so I am fine with trying to make my letters on the skinny side. Does anyone have any suggestions for fonts for this? I have been looking and have not found "the one"!!!!!! LOL So, any suggestions would be great! Thx

And, all the pieces just put up are great! Love the monorail and the BC elements!!!! Glad I get them both!!!!! :woohoo:

I just measured Shawn's letters...actually the P is smaller than the E, because of the wave. But both of them together are right around the 3.4" mark that I calculated out earlier. So we are still looking good for space wise. I know Shawn mentioned 1pg layouts vs 2... in the calculations, this is definitely for a 2pager. You get more than about 7 letters in a word, and it makes it necessary to lay them out over 2 pages.

So you think I should just keep the letters and monorails seperate and throw them all together in the baggie?

This is what I was suggesting. If the other people want to chime in on attached or unattached...

Those are adorable ZtH!

Love your groups ZTH-so cute!!! I NEED that MS punch!:rotfl:

Traci-I  your Contemporary letters!! I'm in that group too so I'll make my letters skinny. I'll probably do a 2 page spread too, so if they don't all fit on one page no biggie.

Checking in! Been busy with county fair - today was the last day!!:cool1:

I have most of my papers I think.:lmao: Will start working on groups this week!

Question for everyone in the All Stars group - is anyone planning on bringing in the "Sports" part of the All Stars? I have stuff for movies and music, and one of my papers is grass, which sort of brings in the sports, but I don't have sports brads or anything like that... I was hoping that would be okay - does that sound alright? I can always add a surfboard to my A, but I don't have any real generic sports stuff.

I went with stars. I'm sure I would like whatever you make:thumbsup2

I bought some star buttons to use for that group, but I have baseball, football, & basketball paper I can use too. I can do my letters sports-themed if everybody wants.

I'm going to see if I can find some sports brads, so don't worry about it DB! After putting my prototype together, I decided they do actually need something else, so I'm going to change it around a bit.

Traci, I got your package today. Thanks so much for the glue dots...I can never have enough of them!
