Do anyone have a recommendation for a place to stay for 1 night in Honolulu? We are arriving on June 1, but check in to Aulani on June 2. Flights were much better the day before and I thought (hope) it will give us chance to rest afther 13 hours of flying, but still enjoy a full first day at Aulani.

Any thoughts, suggestions or experiences are appreciated!

The Hilton is a great property but may be pricey. But if you can get a deal on hotels.com or one of the discount websites I would book it.

Last year we stayed at Outrigger Waikiki on the beach for one night before moving to the north shore and really liked it, they were doing construction though so their rates were really low. I do believe they are having a sale for booking early (book directly on their website). It was close to everything (we walked everywhere) and we had a partial ocean view.

This trip we are getting in late so we are staying in Waikiki one night before heading to Aulani as well. we got a great rate for Aqua Waikiki Wave. It was a 20% off code on their main page . All the aqua hotels (I think there are three in Waikiki) got great reviews on trip advisor. It was cheap and close to everything but not ocean front. Because we land at 10pm though we don't really care:-)

Our biggest priority was being able to walk to somewhere for breakfast in the morning, lunch and the beach. Its right next to the international marketplace so right in the middle of where we want to be:-)

Trip advisor was a great resource for us.

Thank you! We actually get in around 2:14 pm, but it will be more like midnight for us....the only part I'm not looking forward to at this point!

us too! We don't have as big of a time difference as you but I'm dreading it. We land at 10:30 (1:30 am our time). By the time we get our luggage and get to our rental car and our hotel it will be close to midnight. No way am I paying for Aulani when we need somewhere just to sleep. Waikiki street traffic is a pain too so we wanted to be able to walk everywhere the next morning before heading to Aulani:-)
