Hi! Me and two of my sons are out of state annual passholders. We have a trip booked for the end of April and my husband and youngest son who just turned 3 will be using regular date based tickets we bought separately. We’re staying at pop with an AP discount. This is where I’m confused… do I need to make any park pass reservations? For just the APs? Or because we have a resort stay do we not need the reservations? I’m so confused lol

The pass holders will need to make reservations on days:
1) that are not marked good to go
2) if you intend on visiting a (non-good-to-go) park before 2pm
3) If you intend on visiting Magic Kingdom on Saturday or Sunday

Simple, right? Don't forget to watch for black-out days, if you have them.

Thank you! I didn’t know if having a Disney hotel reservation changed any of that and we wouldn’t need them! Guess I gotta pick our parks ahead of time still 🤪

All it really changes is that you can make reservations for every day of your stay and are not limited by the number of reservations your particular AP is allowed to have.

Last month I stayed offsite so could only hold 3 at a time. Next month I am staying on site so I could make one for every day.

You need reservations if you don’t plan to wait till 2pm or wish to gamble on if it will be a good to go day

I just purchased my Pixie Dust AP this past Monday and was given the restrictions/breakdown by the CM. It wasn't too bad as I've been to the parks 4 days this week and my AP effectively paid for itself.

Yes, I needed reservations which was a non-issue and stayed at a Universal resort for this staycation.
