Resort Special Requests

I don't know if this goes question goes on the Disney Resort or DVC board but here goes.

I read the title some where here on the boards, but now I can't remember where I saw it to go back and read it. When do I and where do I send my special requests prior to arrival? For example, I know I will need extra towels as well as a room near the pool (we don't need a view, just a short walk). We are checking into BCV on 10/29/05.

You can make room location requests when you make the reservation, but these are only requests and not guaranteed.

The towel request can be made with housekeeping once you have checked in. Additional towel packs do cost $$. I have paid and also not had to pay on different visits.

You do know that there is no "short walk" from the Villas to Storm Along Bay? There is a short walk to the quiet pool.

No, I didn't know that there were no short walks. I rented points from a DVC owner. I will contact her if she can make some requests for me. Thank you all.

I just didn't want you to be disappointed showing up. The Villas are tucked back to the Epcot side of the BC - here is a link to a map:

The villas are the dark orange portion of the resort. Storm Along Bay (the big theme pool) is the odd shaped water in the middle by Cresent Lake.

Obviously there are rooms that are closer to the theme pool than others.

If you rented points from a DVC member to stay at BCV, ask the member to include your requests on your reservation. Remember that they are just requests and are not guaranteed. Make sure all requests are in order of importance to you. Smoking/Nonsmoking; high floor/low floor; non-handicapped/handicapped. Water view/courtyard view.

You probably will only get to make up to two requests with your reservation. When you check in, you can always ask to see if your requests were met or not and what else might be available.

If you got a one bedroom, you will get four bath towels total. If you got a two bedroom, you will get eight bath towels. If you need more, you can request an additional package of towels (4 more) for $6.

If you want to be near a pool, the neighborhood pool at BCV would be a request option. Just remember to keep your requests down to what you REALLY think is neccessary, and don't be disappointed if you don't get them, because they are not guaranteed.
