Resort Reservations and Park Reservations

I currently have a DVC reservation and my daughter and family have a Disney Resort reservation. We both have our park tickets and reservations for all of the days during our vacation. I have a waitlist for a DVC resort so that we can stay in the same resort. If the waitlist comes through, would we lose our park reservations and have to start over or would we still be able keep our current park reservations? I called ticketing but the CM seemed confused at what I was asking so I'm not sure that I trust her answer. I'll call them again but thought that I'd see if anyone has an experience with this. Thanks!

Your park reservations are tied to your ticket. Changing DVC resort will not affect that.

Park reservations will always be kept as long as a valid ticket stays attached to them.

Just to clarify, if your daughter had park tickets as part of a package with the non-DVC room, she would need to purchase standalone tickets to replace them after cancelling the room+ticket package.

If she bought tickets separately and just had a room-only reservation for the hotel, nothing would change.

Disney is cancelling park reservations if the guest no longer has tickets for those days, and I’m not sure how long she could be ticket-less before that would happen.

Good point, you are supposed to get a grace period of a few days to replace your tickets before they delete park reservations in that scenario, but better safe than sorry.

Good to know! My daughter did, however, purchase "standalone" tickets. Looks like we're good to go ........ hoping that my waitlist comes through! Thank you!
