Resort Pools

Stormalong Bay at the Beach Club and Yacht Club is a good one. The kids pool has a sand bottom.

I think most people will agree with Storm Along Bay as the best pool @ the Disney resorts. SAB is for quests of the YC, BC, and the BCV which are part of the Epcot resorts area. But if you plan on spending most of your days at the MK you might want to stay at one of the resorts by the Kingdom.:thumbsup2

I concur with Stormalong Bay opinions.

But if not there, I think most children will be pretty equally delighted with most of the other resort pools.

The pools at the value resorts do not have slides, though.

The pool at AKV - Kidani is supposed to have a great kids area. I could tell you for sure in just.... 11 days! :cool1:

Stormalong Bay hands down is the best pool on property. But depends what your budget is. In the moderate category, I'd say CBR has the best pool of the moderate resorts.

SAB is nice. But it is big and crowded.Depending on the age of your children and how strong of a swimmer they are could have you reconsidering. There are some deep parts and the lazy river section also has a strong current. OKW has a nice sandcastle slide with a mickey head opening which they come out of. My kids also like the volcano pool at the Poly. AKV has a zero entry pool and a great water play area for the young ones. Friends of our who usually stay moderate like the serpent pool at POFQ and I have heard really good things about the one at CSR which is also a moderate. As long as it had any pool with a slide though my kids were happy.

Without a doubt it is SAB. It is a pool where pool hoppers abused it to the point Disney actually did something (rare event) and established guest access points and issue wristbands to ensure guest can use the pool their paying to use. No other WDW resort pool is protect like this on property on a daily basis.

Storm A Long Bay (SAB) at Beach Club IS IMHO the best pool on property..

we fell in love with it in 2004 (when kids were 12,11, 10) and have gone 4 times since...

However when I am asked my opinion for folks with younger kids... I tell them the POLY... for many reasons...

(For Deluxes)

Because IMHO... SAB could probably be overwhelming for "little ones" although it does have a Fantasic little slide and beach play area...

Have a great trip !

While I agree with others that SAB is the best pool, its not a great toddler pool as its so big and when our son was that age he always wanted to explore and that pool would of been a nightmare chasing him around, while his sister just sat in the sandy area. We wanted till kids were 6 and 8 for BCV and SAB. Just a different perspective.

Our favorite is the volcano pool at the Poly :goodvibes. We have stayed at the BC and think SAB is a great pool, but it would not be our first choice. Don't get me wrong.....SAB is alot of fun with the lazy river and sand bottom area, but it is pretty spread out and while we liked it there, we prefer other pools to that one .

It all depends on what you are looking for. Fun, pool play areas, slides, theming, etc. Is safety a concern? Do you plan on letting your kids just play at the pool and you stay in a chair somewhere in the vicinity? If so, SAB is not that good for younger kids if you are not going to keep your eyes directly on them and stay with them.
