I'm sorry if this has been asked a million times before, I'm not good with the search thingy :)

On the Monday of our trip we are going to MK then have dinner ressies at Chef Mickey's. Can we drive our van and park at the Contemporary, eat, then take the monorail back to MK for the fireworks, then back to Contemporary to pick up our vehicle? Or do we just take a the bus to our dinner ressies, the monorail to the fireworks and then the bus back to our resort?

Did that make sense?

I should add our plans for the day are - go to MK bright and early on bus. Head back to resort in late afternoon for a swim, rest etc... head to dinner ressies and then back to MK for fireworks.

You can only park your vehicle at different resorts for a maximum of 3 hrs.
If you drive over, you could always move your vehicle over to the MK parking lot and take the monorail to MK from the TTC.
We use our vehicle all over WDW, but we always use the Disney transportation to go to MK.

Thanks so much. I figured it wouldn't be an option, otherwise everyone would be doing that. :)

Since you will be staying at a WDW resort, you could drive to the MK parking lot and park for free. Then take the monorail over to the CR from the TTC. After the fireworks, you can go back to your vehicle at the TTC/MK parking lot.

But the easiest of all is to just ride the bus from your resort, hop on the Resort Monorail at the MK and dine at the CR. Then hop a bus back to your resort afterwards from the MK.

Since the buses back to your resort can be fairly crowded after the fireworks, and since you'll have a car, we would suggest driving and parking at the MK parking lot for free, then taking the monorail to the CR from the TTC ... then after the fireworks, take the monorail (or the ferry is sometimes less crowded) to the TTC/MK parking lot.
