Hi, I am new to the boards.

I am planning a trip to WDW in Nov with my 3 year old princess, my mother-in-law and my mom. My mom has difficulty walking distances. She will rent EDV for the parks, but will not use one at the resorts. She doesn't want to mess with getting on the bus with one. We will rent a car and bring her mirror tag. What is the best resort for rooms close to parking and the food court. I was thinking POFQ but the resort isn't open on the days I want to travel.

Also, are there good grab bars in the standard hotel showers, or do I need to request a special kind of room/bathroom? She will definately need one of those.

thanks

Firstly, be warned, if you are planning to rent ECVs from the parks you have to get there REALLY early, as they disappear quickly. If you're looking at using an outside company, the FAQ recommends some rental companies, but that would mean having it for the whole stay (i.e. it would need transporting to and from the parks).

Secondly, the showers in the standard rooms do have grab rails, but are all shower/baths, so would require her to step into the bath.

As for distance between room and food court etc, you could hopefully request a room that was close by in whichever resort you stayed in (depending on availability).

Hope all goes wonderfully!
