Can someone please provide the stop order for the resort monorail line? If I get on at the Contemporary do I go the MK 1st? OR does it go to the TTC, then Ploy, GF, and finally MK?

THX!

Thanks Robo, do you have a rough idea on how long it would take to complete the loop from Contemp to MK?

Fully depends on the time of day and the dates in question.

At the longest, assume 20-25 minutes, give or take.
At the easiest, figure about 10-12 minutes.

By the way, from the CR, the fastest way to MK is to walk.
Figure 7-10 minutes.

For arguments sake let's say a Sunday morning in early December at around 8-8:15 am

10-15 minutes.
Unless they are doing some "brake testing" with some extended stopping on the beam between the stations.

(Be sure and see my post #5 above.)

Thanks. Appreciate the input. I knew walking from CR was quicker, I just wasn't sure how much of a difference it was compared to the Monorail.

Thanks again!

The walk will be the same irrespective of the day or date.

And will Always Be Sooo much faster....

One of the reasons people end up staying at CR,BLT....Huge plus....

Similar to BC's proximity to IG @ EPCOT.

Does the monorail run in both directions? Or is it just one direction doing the same loop? Hubby and I have been disagreeing about this. I say it's just one loop and he says there are monorails going in both directions. Who wins? Someone please prove me right. I'm rarely right.

he says there are monorails going in both directions
He wins. The TTC express monorail runs in the opposite direction stopping only at the TTC and the MK. It departs the TTC and runs through the Contemporary without stopping, and then heads to the MK. From the MK, it heads toward the GF and Poly without stopping at either place.

GAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!! HE'S ALWAYS RIGHT!!!!!!

Resort monorail runs clockwise, express runs counterclockwise around Seven Sea Lagoon.

No your both right, it does run in opposite directions if starting from the TTC. You can take it either way if just going between the MK and TTC. But it only travels the one way through the resorts.
Give yourself a pat

Is there a WDW rule that I can't get on the resort monorail to get to the TTC when the line for the express monorail is packed?

Here is a picture of the boarding area for the Express Monorail at the MK:

no you can get on whichever your want, just know that you stop at the resorts, so it could be a little longer. |I guess it would depend on how long the express line is.

Keep in mind the first stop when leaving MK is the CR....so that's nice after a long day at the park.
When we are staying off site we often take the resort monorail to get the TTC because you only have the one stop at CR so it's a fast ride.

And to confuse you even more, there is a a 3rd rail that goes to epcot and a half rail that goes behind MK (to store the trains). Early in the morning or late at night you may see trains going all sorts of which ways as they move off one line and onto another to go into or come out of the holding area.
