Resort Monorail - Poly to Contemporary

Hi all! How early to the Resort Monorails start running? If we have an early (7:30am-ish) Chef Mickey's reservation and we're staying at Poly, is the Monorail the best way to get there? I'm not sure if it's an EMH day at MK or not... would that even matter? TIA

Following, as I have the same question. We have an early (8am) ADR at MK, before the parks open next week and I am concerned that the monorail won't be running at 7am which is when we want to go over there.

Yes the monorail is the best way to get there. I'd give yourself 30 minutes, but it probably won't take you that long.

i was under the impression from the resort board that the resort monorail, like the others, was on a shortened schedule for maintenance or something,each was down different days, like starting a bit later in the morning?

If that's the case, they will provide a bus.

You can't drive yourself to MK. The MK parking lot is at the TTC.

They will provide a bus if the monorail isn't running.

The hours in which the monorail has been down during the modified schedules have been during the middle of the day (for the most part), so the monorails still run during the peak morning and evening periods.

Please don't check with the desk at the resort about these things.
The resort desk CMs don't know anything about transportation.
They will make up bad info on-the-spot and smile when they give it to you.

^This cannot be repeated enough. If you have a transportation question, do not trust the info given by non-transportation CMs.

1. The problem is (and its the reason for the very serious warning) is that you WON'T KNOW if you get inaccurate information. For instance, it is very common to be told by CMs that there is no transportation available to a theme park until an hour before the park opening time.

2. Those at monorail loading, boat skippers and bus drivers.

And, you can post questions on the DISboards.
If an answer you get here is sketchy, other posters will jump in to correct it.
