Resort hopping

We are planning to do a little resort hopping and wonder what would be the best plan of action. We'll have a rental car so should we drive or take the bus? Since you can't hop from resort to resort on the bus, would we waste our time with bus transportation going from resort to park to resort and back again?

Take your car when you are resort hopping. You'll save a lot of time by driving yourself compared to riding on the bus system.

we resort hopped last year and it was awesome
we stayed at WL but went to gf poly cr akl
i didnt like akl we werent there more than 10 min im soo glad we didnt take the bus i would have been so mad
we are heading down in december and i plan on visiting all the MK resorts for a meal and we cant wait to see the decorations

Or, you could park at one of the Monorail resorts and take the monorail to the others, maybe taking the boat from the CR to the WL and back. Then drive over to the Epcot resort area, parking, and then walking around Crescent Lake to check out the five resorts there. Have fun!!

Is there a special parking area for visitors? Is it easy to get through the gate if you are just visiting?
