Resort Hoppin' with Wigd and Shocker! Contests!

OH NOOOO! Thanks for the offer but I already have them and I don't need any more!

Here's a bit of an update.

Timeshare Store had a deal I just couldn't pass up.
Sooooo.
I called.
Made an offer.
They accepted.
We are waiting on Disney to ROFR on some more points.

If they do and I think they will. We will be in a race against time to close or have some points that will need to be used by Feb. 1, 2011.
Just perfect for that January trip.

Yay!!! More points!
I hope everything works out and you're visiting the World in January.

Oh WigD I hear you about Vero for after cruises! We have our fingers all tied in knots about hopefully being able to slide in there after our June cruise... We have to wait a few more weeks... :scared::hippie: BUT I also think like you say, having them for everywhere if there is a good price to be had makes sense! :thumbsup2 Smart to offer, if they take it, great, if not, you still have plenty of points!!

Yes, Disneyland, you should go. We didn't have nearly enough time but we still had time, so I can't complain. We didn't get to do everything but we knew that going in. Save it for next time!

OH! AND you need to go on the sleigh ride. After we went last year, it was such a highlight!!! GO!!!!

And I agree with MeMom -- shopping for points is some of the best shopping you do!

I really want to go to Disneyland too. I went once when I was 21..just a year or two ago!! LOL!!!!:lmao: more like 20 + years ago!
I also want to check out the Hawaii resort!

Check out this link. There is a clip of the Dream from GMA this am. there is also a contest to enter!
I haven't been over to chat lately.
I was just on the GMA site entering the contest! Thanks for the link.:goodvibes
We are also going to the party on the 19th. BBB and 1900 Park Faire before. Not doing to many ADR's before the 22nd when Hubby gets there-the girls just son't eat enough...As soon as I get my plans in better order I'll send u a pm.
Maybe we could say hi at the party!
Phillip read this behind my shoulder and asked if you would just be our resale agent and arrange our point purchase for us LOL! He's says we'll make sure you get a good tip LOL!!! We still keep looking and looking just not ready to take the huge plunge, if we let you do it we wouldn't have to deal wit the anxiety LOL

So....did I hear something about a January trip???? Because you know I know some dates that would be perfect for you :rolleyes1 (Just saying!!!)
NO January trip for us, just points that will need to be used by the first of Feb. last night I remembered that Megan wanted to run in the Princess half marathon and that's in January too. Not sure I should tell her about the points. We would probably have to buy the plane ticket as well. I think you girls are going later in the month, right?
Well, I am just shocked.

Or I am not.

I think your point shopping is some of your very best shopping work yet. :goodvibes

Not for one minute do I believe you.
Not callin' you a liar or nuthin, but........ :upsidedow

Yep, when they hear your voice,
they just turn and say, "Hey, Bobby, it's you know who!" :thumbsup2
Ok, just sayin' that made me laugh...:rotfl2:

Yay!!! More points!
I hope everything works out and you're visiting the World in January.
Not enough days off in January for us to go.
My principal would shake her head and tell me no.;)

Anyone shopping for points should really look at Vero points, they are such a great price!
Saying that I'll probably drive the price up.

I made the offer and within 5 minutes Robert called back and they had accepted.
It wasn't much less than the asking price.
You can't go much less or Disney won't let it pass through.
Timeshare Store is such a great company to deal with.

In fact Robert called me back before he made the offer to the seller.
Just wanted to make sure I understood how soon the borrowed points needed to be used or would be lost. I told him I understood and we wanted them anyway....
Like I said, great company!

We will make it to Disneyland. Starting to talk about a trip now, just need to find the date....
I can see it now, a group of displaced WDW disers visit the Dland!

I hadn't thought about Vero... hmmm... :rolleyes1

Take a look Christine, our contract is going to Disney at $45 a point. The only thing they have been buying for the last five months according to Robert is Beach Club. So I think we have a good chance of passing through!

I was sold on Vero when I hear how much fun Laura had there with her kids! Just a touch of Disney but a whole lot of fun! :goodvibes

Displaced DISer is the truth! I felt that way a little. And of course a little frenzied! I would say three full days at the parks would be enough. If we had one more day we could have gotten more in. Longer would be nice, too, but 3 days seems to be what they "market" -- points at the GCV are high, though -- It seemed to me anyhow. BUT very nice to walk into the parks from the resort. Very compact.

Good luck with all the processing!!!! :goodvibes

I am sure luck is on your side :)

Your new grandbaby is coming soon, right?

Exactly! Laura sold me too!!!
Are you waiting to book your Vero? What's the story?
So three days to do both? There are two, right?
I would want to use our points to stay at the GCV, hope we could book it at 7 months out...

Baby is due in about 10 days, Keeley is ready! I'm not sure the reality of what's to come has hit me yet.

oh my goodness, am I enableing?
I wish we were sitting side by side, surfing the web together!

Yes you are! ;) In fact there is a contract for "my" use year for 100 pts for less than half of what I paid for a Beach Club contract.

Oh, the temptation....

I wish we were looking at the listings together too. :goodvibes We really need to plan a DIS reunion type event at some point. How fun would it be if we could find a way to all be down there at the same time??

We get to celebrate a new DIS baby soon! :dance3:
Sure wish you were closer to all of us southerners,
so we could load you up with a couple of weeks' worth of casseroles and take turns rocking the baby. :)

Oh my! What a big and exciting change. But a nice time of year to welcome a baby!! I am having baby withdrawal! LOL!
we have to wait until the 7 month window to get the dates we need, which is in a few weeks... The person we have been renting points from is going to call for us.
With Disneyland I think 2 full days at Disneyland and 1 full day at Cali Adventure with a 4th day for a park hop to either would be perfect, so you can get the last of it all!

I wonder if the TSS website can track hits from the Dis :) I almost have Hubby convinced........Almost, maybe if his horsie wins.......
10 days-hope it all goes smoothly!

I get emails from them a few times a week, so I have been watching for the right one for some time now...
I just went over there too!!!:rotfl2:
Oh the temptation is right :sad2:
Hmmmmmm ;)

Tracy
I know it! You should sign up for their emails.
WOW 45 a point. That is amazing. A sign of the times I guess.
Hi there! Vero has been priced that way for some time. Their annual dues are just a tad higher.
We get to celebrate a new DIS baby soon! :dance3:
Sure wish you were closer to all of us southerners,
so we could load you up with a couple of weeks' worth of casseroles and take turns rocking the baby. :)
I wish we were closer too! I would love to be your neighbor!
Now, I need to go check the TSS website :surfweb:
Today's visit to the DIS may cost me $$$ :rotfl:
Jen, you will have to report back when you find something! They are the best!

I hope you get what you need for Vero! I'll bet it's like the cruise, just enough Disney to keep us happy but other really fun stuff too!
Thanks for the DL advice it really makes sense!
We love our Happydog!
:goodvibes

In my DVC frenzy, I missed this. 10 days?! Holy cow!! How exciting!! :goodvibes I can't wait for a new DIS baby.
Yes, 10 days! She's over here now and looks like she could just POP!
I wonder if the TSS website can track hits from the Dis :) I almost have Hubby convinced........Almost, maybe if his horsie wins.......

Maybe we should all tell them we are from the DIS! They are a sponsor you know...
Keeley had a friend that was due a day before her that had a c-section yesterday. Not sure what the complication was but the baby is here and they are doing well.
I hope Keeley has no troubles at all...
I'm most worried that I won't be ready at school when the baby comes. Lesson plans and all, you know. Oh well, when the time comes I'll just deal with it.

Oh my...all this talk of adding on...

must........

resist.........

:rotfl:

Congrats on your point add on! You guys are my idols!;) Speaking of which, do you have an ADR on the 26th of Dec.? That's our arrival day. I know you are leaving soon after that (28th???) and I need to make sure our plans mesh so we can meet up at some point!!!:thumbsup2
